This works wonders for when you're rich from plunder. Finally, something WORTH the 12,381 septims I paid for it.

I think it would be a really cool extension of this mod to have it held by very select characters in the game. Perhaps Nazir, for example could have one, and some in the East Empire Warehouse, maybe one held by a Thieve's Guild member, one by Enthir as he is a sort of black market dealer, and as an extreme-rarity high level drop on very strong draugr and various necromancers.

Having every alchemy vendor in Skyrim carry it is a bit odd, since most of them are healers by trade. Now if, say, Babette in the Dark Brotherhood sold it, that'd make tons of sense.

It's very rare (it's only found on the island of Stros M'Kai), and is highly coveted, so it only makes sense that it is hideously expensive.

I think is expensive because is the deadliest root.

This is insane. Did you see the price for that root? Great mod.
eldritchsyntax (hammerfell) 5 Jan, 2013 @ 1:53pm
or perhaps nazir could have one. He's from hammerfell, he's an assassin, and he's a capible chef for pete's sake. Him having one is perfectly explainable. This way those who choose to wipe out the brotherhood don't make it impossible to obtain this ingredient.

I've yet to see any alchemist selling it. Perhaps it is very rare? Here is another suggestion: perhaps Kematu could give it to you as a reward for helping him capture Saadia, seeing as they're all from Hammerfell, where the jarrin root is found.

uuh... why can i buy it with 3 septims now? usually, it was over 160000 or something =s

If you don't want to die from it just use become ethereal shout immediately after eating it.

I have this mod and I've noticed that I've never seen any alchemy vendors selling jarrin root... :(

here is an idea: what if the tribal orcs were more likely to have it than potion shops. Orcs favor toxins. Alchemists prefer cures.

o now idont have to save my old one
Gaijin War Fox 16 May, 2012 @ 2:20pm
@rs Yes, during the dark brotherhood quest to kill the emperor, you get one jarrin root, which you can make into a potion or poison food with. With some serious testing, I've found it has ALL negative effects. (damage health, damage magicka, damage magicka regen, damage stamina) and the damage healt rate is often over 1000 damage base (so eating it WOULD kill you.) I'd advise you go through the dark brotherhood quest. Astrid tells you up straight "Don't even think about tasting it" as the root is meant to be instantanious death. Best we all stick to the cheese.

Oops, I guess I shouldn't have eaten the one I found... o.O
stratl_00 14 May, 2012 @ 5:10am
I like this. Just because it's "exotic" doesn't mean you shoud't be unable to get it.
Gaijin War Fox 11 May, 2012 @ 8:26pm
I've tried alduin. Had about 200+ jarrin poisons (thanks to synderion's effect after the crimson nirnroot quest) Didn't take long, only needed like two.
eldritchsyntax (hammerfell) 11 May, 2012 @ 8:19pm
isn't the word wary? not weary?
eldritchsyntax (hammerfell) 11 May, 2012 @ 8:18pm
elder dragon? HA! try alduin
Tavaria 11 May, 2012 @ 4:50pm
¬¬ the first time i'v ever missed with a poison arrow, hit lydia instead X.x, this stuff is a lil overpowered.
Gaijin War Fox 10 May, 2012 @ 3:49pm
From experience via console, one poison can seriously level your alchemy, as well as nearly kill (if not actually kill) an elder dragon. Also, completely listed with poison effects. (no potion/poison mixes unless you're not careful with 3 ingredients.) Keep these things in mind if you intend to not get the mod. Don't want to miss such an oppertunity.
Mediziner 9 May, 2012 @ 11:06pm
@King of bones

Yeah, it's retrieved only through a Dark Brotherhood Quest where you attempt to poison Emperor Tidus Mede II

If you wanna get a couple yourself, type in additem 0001bcbc (amount) be warned it does a lot of damage when you eat it... I died from it once xP but it is VERY powerful poison making wise (even stronger if you also have Alchemy 100 'n a few perks maxed out 'n etc)

@CheshireCaddington

Yeah, I guess 5k isn't too bad either o.o
Skeletal King 9 May, 2012 @ 10:57pm
Only obtainible Once in the game?
God my alchemist would have been pissed...
CheshireCaddington 9 May, 2012 @ 7:24pm
15k does seem a little much, I wouldn't say anything as low as 500 - but 5000 Septims seems reasonable.
Mediziner 9 May, 2012 @ 6:42pm
0001BCBC :D

I enjoy this idea of it being purchasable but I think 15k is a bit much... 500 Septims would fit it rather more nicely (In own opinion)
Ranch or Cool Ranch? 9 May, 2012 @ 10:41am
Nice, but I think the price is a little too high.
Klaubauf 9 May, 2012 @ 8:54am
Cool.

Its a shame i don't have a heart and can easily just type in the ID and add 20.
