@Averax: maybe you could do 99% of the survey so and let the player take care of the rest so it would only take a few seconds at most to complete the survey?

I have to double check the terraforming code as apparently PDX decided that you should only unlock being able to see it if you've surveyed your home system.. (which this obviously breaks)

After a quick test it seems the edict crashes in my 2300+ ironman game (didnt activate it befor year 2305). Crashes the game instantly.
Making a fresh game (deactivated Ironman mode) gives the edict modifier on the planet without crash - didn't test further if the tech turns up.

I can confirm behaviour described by phlippy.g

On that note: if mod is used in MP only the Host doesn't get the terraform tech, the clients do get them (and they only get spawnd the mining stations in the home system, but all other entitys in their homesystem are not scouted, hosts planets are ... maybe related/vital for the bug hunt?)

And back to the bad news front, the give terraforming tech edict is still malfunctioning, same as before. The terraforming tech is not appearing in my second test run, though it hasnt been long enough that I'd declare it a definite fault for that.

Ok, well good news, I was able to get the terraforming tech from the dismantle terraformer planet event, so at least it is possible to get it. Little bit of a niche problem though, Mars in the Sol starting system is not eligible for terraforming with your mod, I guess because the event never fires to do the anomaly and set it as a terraforming candidate. Small problem, I'll still use your mod happily, just figured more info can't hurt.

Yes, the give terraform tech edict appears, and when activated pops up the research complete symbol, but the tech name spot is blank. It also appears to not allow terraforming to appear naturally, at least in the 7 or 8 hours I've played.

Sorry, I didnt see that there is a problem ... the "Give Terraform Tech" Edict doesnt work. :/
That makes it impossible to terraform anything.

Huh. Just tested and it should work. The edict requires you to not have the terraforming tech. Can you guys check if it's researched? If not do you have any other mods installed?

Updated the mod to fix the terraforming bug. Use the edict on a planet to get the research.

I love this mod! Have a question though, does this break your chance for getting terraforming tech? The reason why I ask is that I have played two games with this mod and it has passed 100 years and I have never seen the tech pop up. Looking at the prereq for the tech, you need to survey your home system to flag it available. Obviously you can't do that if the system is already surveyed from the start.
