I really like the ideal of this platform, but the overhead arches were a bit too much for me. I'd love to see a version of this that's slightly trimmed back, especially to be paired with some of the space backgrounds available. :)

You have to opt into the SteamVR beta (right click it from Library -> Tools) the restart it. Then it will be in your settings in the VR lobby.

To use this, right click on "SteamVR" in the steam library, click properties, click betas, and choose the beta in the drop down. Then go in VR and in the steamvr menu inside VR, click the settings gear in the bottom right, click customize and environments and then you can use it easy peasy.

Simple environment but probably the best environment so far. Love the open skybox so you can still customize the background.

I second what Ben said.

This is incredible, definitely the best environment right now. It would be nice if there was a minimal version without the stairs and the extra rings around it, just the simple futuristic platform by itself.

Everyone should be using this. Makes being in the SteamVR space way more comfortable and looks super cool to boot.

Cool! Is the lighting baked into the textures, or is there actual lighting in the scene?

Improves usability for 360 degree backgrounds considerably as it gives you a reference point! Would recommend.
