sry it's a lot of work (about 3700+ files)
and maintaining them is a pain, since PDX is releasing patches like there's no tomorrow^^
the 4.0 release is a perfect example for that (16 patches already)
I am so busy making and coding other stuff for my total conversion, I would rather just commision a service to make these GUI submods I had planned
you only need 2 programs:
a graphic program like for example photoshop/gimp
and a text editor for example notepad++
then you could start by changing the relevant graphic files.
if you type in : "guibounds" into the console ingame (or click on guibounds") and then hover over something,
that will (often) show you where you can change it (adjust its position and such)
check out the description :)
The UI mods will be updated when the main STNH mod is ready for 4.0.
i have 4.0.4, downloaded from steam : given this is newly release, is this mod compatible with it yet ? my game keeps crashing when i launch it with the mod, so suspecting not.
Thanks

no DLCs are needed.
The main mod is quite big. So the initial start of a new game can take some time (depending on your PC specs)
But once you've set up a game, the game should load a lot faster.
Just tested it and it loads up just fine.
Also no error log messages.
Which mods do you have activated in the launcher?
STNH main mod + 1 UI mod (optional) + music mod (optional)
also: do you have more than 8gb RAM?
you can subscribe to all UI mods, but make sure only 1 UI mod is activated in the launcher.
any more than that and the game will crash.
and what do you mean with "one of the empires"?
STNH main mod (contains all the star trek species/empires)
1 UI mod (optional)
pre TNG era mod (optional, only if you want to play from 2300 onwards, and then you have to pick one of the PRE TNG maps only)
music mod (optional)
Is it okay to have the universal and then one of the Empires active?
The main mod will be updated later this day.
I can't test how it looks on 4k or higher.
But it should work on resolutions 1920x1080 or higher.
Does the mod not load or how does it look ingame?
The main mod update should follow in some hours.
ye, it will be fine if used in combination with STNH
what you can do
create your own mod and copy over the UI files
then remove the file "ship_designer.gui" from the mod folder:
"stellaris/mod/yourmodname/interface"
+ big graphical overhaul towards LCARS
+ several bugfixes
"STNH main mod should be updated tomorrow if nothing goes wrong :)"
which mods do you have activated in the launcher?
short answer: no
It does work with vanilla though, but it's recommended to have the ST: New Horizons mod activated.
I've changed the sound to a different one for now.
Everything else is awesome. Thank you Mr. Slade for all the work you put into this.
hehe I thought so, after seeing the same message(bug report on discord :)
I can't test it on mac unfortunately, but the error log seems fine on the UI.
@cutter - I’ve got beta :)
The main mod isn't updated to 3.8.3 yet.
It's currently in beta.
