I wanted to mention that at the moment this mod is unusable, at least for me as it says its missing a descriptor file. It worked just fine in previous games but suddenly it can't be loaded into the game because of that. I tried reinstalling it but that hasn't helped either. I don't know if it's a mod issue or something else but I just thought i'd mention it.

I have not run an updated game, so I am not sure about the status.

However, unless they change how species are coded again, I imagine it should continue to work. I don't think the Diplomacy update should have affected it, but again, I don't know for sure.

Issue fixed

Both the faction I was playing and the Kimonomimi faction were starting in the sol system. Since you cannot have copies of starter systems, they were being overriden, To fix it, simply make sure all your custom factions or your own have random starting systems, and make sure that only one faction has a named system.

Love it, but there's an unfortunate problem. I made them their own empire, and set their spawning to forced. Despite this, they aren't spawning in my games. Would love a fix.

Found the bug causing foxgirls to both not eat and not consume goods... pop upkeep is tracked entirely through job flags, and biological archtype doesn't give you the organic flag. You need to add "is_species_class = Kemonomimi" to the list of is_organic_species in common/scripted_triggers/xx_scripted_triggers_jobs.txt
.... Good news though, all you have to do to fix it yourself is do the same thing in your own mod. So you don't have to wait for Darth to get around to it =D

I got a odd problem with this mod. Despite only having this race in my empire there are at time complaints that my ruler belongs to another species , as are some of the pops. Witch again are all of the same race here. And yes i am using the Kemonomimi species tab. But i get the same issue with the other choices aswell. Perhaps you shuld look over all the portraits and see if they are all counted as the same species , since right now it seems like some are not.

@Draconias. I am not currently getting feezes when I tested it. Does it freeze immediately after trying to start? Could it be some sort of mod conflict?

@kitten. I just checked and dug around a bit. I saved it a couple years ago, and I unfortunately cannot find where I originally got it.

I started a heavily modded game earlier this week, and it works as expected. Further, none of them should be interacting with this, so I doubt they are fixing any issues that could have cropped up.

Thank you for the feedback.

I found the problem. It looks like it's only occuring when they're used as a syncretic species. I've taken a look at it, but unfortunately have not been able to fix it yet (couldn't get the syncretic trait active). It looks like version 1.8.2 of the game is going to address some of the modding issues, so I will hopefully be able to fix it then. If I find an alternative fix in the meantime, I'll link it here in the comments.

at the moment it seems I have the trait problem. I can use them if I don't give them traits. But I wanna make them a subservient species at the start (it's not for lewd purposes, I swear! No I am not joking, I have some pretty solid lore for the explaination) and because subserviant species use 2 trait points no matter what - so I can't do it atm :( looking forward to the fix though :D

thanks, love this mod :D granted, I have very mixed feelings when they spawn as a xenophobic species because I can never decide if I should try to vassalize them or destroy them for the sake of the galaxy D: so harsh an action for such a cute race race to force that decision on me ;-;

Sorry guys. Looks like they deleted the first fix I had on here. The alternative fix I suggested, however, appears to still be working. I will add that fix to this version instead of linking it in the description and then the main mod should be working again.

I’ll write myself a note to check back tomorrow to see if any new problems arise in the meantime. I didn’t realize things had broken again so had been away from Steam.

I already had an alternative set-up that did the add every trait junk, so I will probably be reverting over to that. "Kemonomimi" is the overall classification with "foxes", "neko", and "zall" as the three portraits if you wanted to update that other mod.

I have not looked into any of the other fixes this past week. The only one I know of that I used was where you add each trait to the race manually. If you know of a better way, I may be able to tweak things this weekend.

Thier is a 1.8.1 anime compability mod for trait fixing made by one of the anime mod guys just need to setup the archtypes on your mod which a lot simplier then add every trait junk of 1.8.0,
