The map is a little glitchy but doable. Interesting concept.

Only a glimpse of the button falling? Hmm...

I though I was going to be stuck on this chamber a long time, until I realized the hint in the title and also caught a glimpse of the button falling. You should make it more obvious that the button is movable, as this would spare us some headaches.

Absolutely love the concept, and this map is underrated (in comparison to most other Hammer maps, which are overrated), probably due to the frustration many players were experiencing.

well is there another way rand0m?
Rand0mNumbers  [author] 8 Jul, 2012 @ 3:50am
Travis: If you're having trouble completing the chamber, I have the solution on my Steam profile videos page. I didn't put the link here because I didn't want to hand out the solution off the bat and ruin the "first run" experience.

Although, that is a bit hypocritical as I usually put the solutions to my maps on YouTube before releasing them..

because this is a very very very troubling chamber 5000.000.000% truely, and i can't place new ones down because i don't have the tool mods because my download systems are shut down for good untill i be muture enough for me to use it from my brother trab aka damien kemp
Rand0mNumbers  [author] 7 Jul, 2012 @ 11:19pm
Travis: Why are you trying to remove them? Creating new cubes is a whole lot easier than trying to detach the ones I placed.
travisty98 7 Jul, 2012 @ 9:34pm
Rand0mNumbers well i know the command ker to turn on cheats but i don't know what is the perent remove key typing on console, can you tell me what it is
Rand0mNumbers  [author] 7 Jul, 2012 @ 9:08pm
Travis: You don't remove the cubes from their holders. If you are really intent on doing that, turn on cheats, remove their parents, and move them out.
travisty98 7 Jul, 2012 @ 8:53pm
Rand0mNumbers, this is travis. can you explaing to me opf how i can get the cubes off the graplers on the heavy lifting things please because i'm been trying to get them off for 2 weeks. thanks. bye.

The map name certainly really helps convey the new concept of transporting something, a button of all things, through the map. Nice idea, beautiful map, interesting puzzle. But you do have to time things correctly, plus do some trial and error, so dying a lot is an option.

I like the extra punishment idea for dropping the button into the water. It's like the button's turret buddies are out for revenge :). Interesting implementation of a forced map reset.

Presently playing through all your maps... this bodes really well for your other maps.

I've made the hint more obvious (concussion anyone?), but p2map_publish is failing to update.
Stric_Matic 18 Jun, 2012 @ 5:39am
More innovation, but it really needs a hint (like a picture of the cube-piston connecting with the button) next to the initial button to make sense. Or at least a hint that the button platform is movable.
Rand0mNumbers  [author] 5 Jun, 2012 @ 3:29pm
I rotated it in the hopes that would make it clear it wasn't part of the floor. Maybe I should drop it on...near the player's head.
greyarea 5 Jun, 2012 @ 2:59pm
Hi, nice idea - it wasn't at all clear that the button could be moved, that's unusual. Decals?
Phoenyx 24 May, 2012 @ 3:10pm
This was a very interesting additional game mechanic, however, I had no idea that I could move that platform and spent like half an hour trying to figure out what I was missing. I would reccomend adding a room before this to show that you can move the platform like this. Perhaps putting a button in an excursion funnel to start with?
Bob 23 May, 2012 @ 1:51pm
Thanks I think you have great ideas and cant wait to see your mapping grow!
Rand0mNumbers  [author] 22 May, 2012 @ 10:22pm
I put it at an angle in the hope that people would notice. Looks like it wasn't turned enough.
Bob 22 May, 2012 @ 4:23pm
Great but needs an explanation to show how button moves because the button looks very stationary.
Le Petit Mort 13 May, 2012 @ 6:49pm
Clever, though a tutorial-room for the button mechanic would be welcome.
andre 13 May, 2012 @ 6:00pm
To anyone who can't figure it out, use the tractor beam on the button at the start.
Rand0mNumbers  [author] 12 May, 2012 @ 3:11am
Look at the button when you first enter. Notice how it is askew. Take it from there.
vlxlt 12 May, 2012 @ 2:53am
Can you give another hint? The test doesn't make any sense as of now.
