What is this called in the Manage Mods list? It's not called "GI Joe Flag Pack".

The man in the shack's character pool includes MASK characters. I had added those as flags upon his request.

Ok, I realize what you're going for with the UI, however, I'm playing with LW2 and was using the G.I. Joe squad icons, and the G.I. Joe nationality flags as a way to see what squad a soldier belongs to in the roster view. It didn't occur to me that (at the time of my post) that this was your intent to have them all display as G.I. Joe/Cobra in the roster view. Thanks, no need to change anything on my account, it's probably not a common usage for the flags.

Response: Yes, the flags show perfectly on the soldier's backs.

The same GI Joe UI flag is by design, if this is what you mean. As the GI Joe related flags are all part of GI Joe I chose to have them display the same UI flag. So the only UI flags that differ would be the Oktober Guard , MASK and Action Force flags. I see that I need to update the images accordingly. I didn't remember that I needed to update those, sorry about that.

That said: Do you see the proper flag on the back?

I'm having a problem where most of the flags don't display correctly. The flags just show the default G.I. Joe logo, in most cases. I'm sure there is a simple fix or perhaps a load order I'm not doing, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yes, several years ago Hasbro released a Matt Trakker figure as part of the GI Joe line...the idea being that the MASK team was always in the background as a secret weapons branch, and that VENOM was making advanced weapons for Cobra. It's official as of this fall...they are merging a number of properties into one 'universe'. Look up 'Hasbro Shared Universe'...there's a bunch of stuff about it now. To be clear, I won't be adding the Micronauts. :)

I have thought about adding Danger Girl as another piece though...that's not part of the Hasbro deal, but it is a crossover that they did a couple years ago.

Not it didn't but there are rumors that the 3rd G.I.Joe Live action movie will be a cross over with MASK... I'm a bit worried, but also intrigued. Actually The_Man_in_the_Shack's CP has MASK characters so he asked if I could include the logos. The TV series only featured Duke dying (unofficially) in the movie. In the G.I.Joe comic books, though, a bunch of characters get killed.

LOl nice modd however Mask wasnt a part of the Gi Joe universe, however it was a kickass cartoon with vehicles that turned into planes ships and subs etc.. Actually it came on a little before GI Joe came on when I was a kid.. Nostalgic mod nonetheless . Oh Man In tghe shack Doc was a pacifist however he did come with a pistol and used it quite a few times, as GI Joe never actually killed not one Cobra guy, lol sort of like the A-Team never killed anybody but blew the hell out of everything else, lol.

Thank you Darkstar! I addressed the coding. Now every G.I.Joe or Cobra related flag will display an american name, Oktober Guard displays Russian, Arashikage Flags display Japenese names, and all Action Force related flags, along with M.A.R.S. will display UK names. Thank for pointing it out! :)

These are great! However, everyone assigned to a GI Joe or Cobra flag gets a Russian name in my game. Is there a way to change that?

I checked out the Field Medic, but I still just can't bring myself to put a gun in Doc's hands, so I dropped it, and like Dragoon I always use him only in the AWC. Stalker and Spirit carry the medkits for me...I use open and choosable AWC perks to give Field Medic to Stalker, as he is trained; I give a single-use medkit to Spirit as he's got the natural medicine thing going. I also use Lady Jaye as a mixed Specialist, so she's the other healer on missions.

Maybe a Non-Combatant Medic soldier class, focusing on defensive habilities, could be made to have Doc or Lifeline in the field. The actual Doc figure comes with a flare launcher. There might be a way to do something like this. The custom Field Medic class is a combatant class, but it is very cool to use.

I made Doc a VIP so if he spawns in game as an Engineer I can put him in the AWC.

I like having doc as Doc a combatant specialist medic since he don't mind touching a gun now and then. Also the class Field Medic is great for him. I didn't notice it in your document. The abilities balance well with the fact that it doesn't use a Gremlin.

I personally use and love the SAMOD Officer Class for Hawk or Cobra Commander (I started a whole Cobra playthrough)

I tried the Gunslinger class mod for Wild Bill but it felt a bit overpowered on occasions (or I was very lucky) and I missed when he was a Sharphooter focusing on the Gunslinger tech tree.

I always give graple arms deco to Alpine while waiting to get a spider suit (which I too give to the ninja/samurai characters. I wanted to make a sniper/recon mod class with a graple arm by default. I tought of this because of the Shocktrooper Class that has a flamethrower by default.

You appear to be using the same classes that I use. I assign some differently. Most of them are pretty much the same. I think it all balances very well. I too love giving powerful weapon to specialised soldiers like advent rifle only for laser troopers. Limitations are pretty cool.

Wet Suit currently an Engineer on my side (because of EOD and BUDs training)... If only I could find a way to implement X4 charges as grenade option working mostly as a Claymore mine we'd already have the animation in the game... Before that he was using the seal class.

W00T! Dude, thank you!! I'll swap these out for the guys in the CP and they'll have these for the next update.

You mention the classes...lately I've been working on class balancing for the different guys...I have a list of sixteen classes on which I have settled for now. For the most part, the classes that are already there are doing a great job of representing everyone...the trick is balancing them so that everyone 'feels' right to themselves, while clearly differentiating them from each other, and not overloading any one class. If you look at the google document linked in the description at my CP, you can see what I've got...sixteen classes, with none of them having more than six members. I'm feeling pretty good about what I have so far, but I would love feedback on that part...
