Indeed I do and yeah I didn't think of that during the creation of the mod. I also thought about fixing that, but I just haven't had the time to fix all issues with names and number.
I have to many private matters at hand to be able to take care of other things right now.

About the german army: It's called Heer instead of Bundeswehr (the Bundeswehr is the military - so the Heer (Army), Luftwaffe (Air Force), Marine (Navy), Zentraler Sanitätsdiesnt der Bundeswehr (Medical Service) and Streitkräftebasis (Support service) and more)

I can't post the absolute path, since I don't know where your Steam folder is located.

The M4 is included. It's only rare.

If you want to play with the old crosshair, you can remove all the png files with crosshair in the title from the textures folder of the mod. If you do so, vanilla crosshair should be used automatically.

A clear list of the gear?

If you click on the second picture to expand it, it should be readable below the picture of the weapon list. I can only confirm that for 1080p screen resolutions though. It could be difficult to read if your screen resolution is any higher than that. : /

But do not fear: A more detailed list of gear and features will come in the future. I'm just a little preoccupied with very important real life stuff that needs to be taken care of first. As soon as I'm done with that, I start to work on a text based list for the description.

Heh, some impressive thoughts. ^^ Well, it was a co-production but that's a given. xD Personally I think it was an ambitious project but the 80s just weren't ready for that. It was way to heavy and bulky for an infantry all-purpose rifle. It was a good idea to split the project into seperate pieces. With the tech and material from today there are new possibilities, but it still would be a more pared-down version from the original plans. Better stick with special purpous weapons and infantry rifles with signle shot ubl's.

Probably not necessary. There are a lot of pictures of soldiers with the OICW prototype. Can be found all over the net if you search for a bit. ^^

Don't worry. I know about the specs of the XM8, the similarities and the differences to the G36 quite well. As well as about it's developement cycle and its origin after the scraped – or shall I say splitted – OICW project. Since I'm interested in these mechanics, I do my homework quite regularly. ^^

The XM8 Assault Rifle is just the same as the G-36. the Germans Put all the G-36 interior parts on the XM8 by just simpley swapping all mechanisms and redesign the Exterior. So the XM8 in real life is another G-36 in disguise both fires 5.56mm rounds and has the same specs

The 'how' is not the difficulty. ^^ I put a lot of effort in re-balancing the weapons and trying to fit them closely to their rl counterparts, while keeping the game balanced. So I can't just add another weapon to the Bundeswehr, without actually thinking of other weapons that I can add to the other factions to balance it out. ^^
Despite that, I still have to re-build the core structure of the mod for technical reasons. Since I'm in the middle of this, I can't put out a sub-update for a single weapon for one faction. I am sorry about this and I hope you understand my reasons.

I'll definitely consider it. Have been thinking about it for quite a while to add more weapons to all factions but I've encountered a strange error after I've added a certain amount of additional items. Since I'll work on an update for the mod, I'll re-evaluate the XM8 as additional rifle. It might make it into the next update. But be aware that I have a lot of personal things on my plate right now and development is very slow at this point. I'm sorry for that, but currently it can't be helped. I'm doing my best to speed things up again as soon as possible though.

Okay, I've added a picture. There are still some bugs that I have yet to fix, but since my pc crash everything went rather slow. I'm going to catch up on that as soon as I've sorted my personal stuff solved so that I have more time for modding. I have to update the mod anyway so I'm going to try and fix the minor things and add the new stuff in one go.

In the mean time I can roughly summarize that the mod adds one additional battle rifle, one silenced smg as secondary weapon, one standard smg as primary weapon, the Kel-Tec KSG as a high capacity shotgun, two new vests, one new medic gear and the at mine to all factions. Everything unlocked by rank. The additional rifles unlocked by intel items are also all changed to match the factions a little bit better.

The balancing changes conclude a boost in accuracy and damage for all existing weapons to match the tone of the new arsenal. I also changed view distance on all weapons a bit and the possible stances you can fire mgs in with proper accuracy penalty.

That basically concludes the rough summary of changes and additions that aren't as obvious as the new faction. I'm going to work on a more detailed list asap, as stated. For now I focus on getting the screenshots done and uploaded.

Hi. ^^ First of all, sorry for taking so long to answer your comment. I'm currently in the middle of recovering a lot of files, because my PSU burned down on me and took my mainboard with it. I grabbed some 12 year old parts to build at least a usable machine for work, but I haven't had the time to do much else.

Now to your questions.

The pictures:
I actually wanted to put some more screen shots on here, but got caught up in a lot of personal stuff that basically hindered me from actually doing it. I'll fix that as soon as possible. Thanks for reminding me. ^^

The additions:
I am going to work on a more detailed feature list for the mod as soon as possible. I try to mention all changes with the reason why I changed them like that, while not stating the exact numbers.

If at all possible could you add pictures for the new gear and some more detailed explinations to the vanilla gear balances? The mod interests me but I'm hesitant to download it since I don't know what exactly it adds.

Judging from what I've seen of the suit in-game, it shouldn't be that op, seeing as only a handful of elites spawn with it and players could only buy it. But thank you anyway.

I'm glad to heare, that you enjoyed it so far.
It should be quite easy to make the EOD suit available without having to grab a cargo truck. However, that has a huge impact on the balance and I need to test that to decide if it's too over powerd or not. I'm currently a little short handed because of private reasons, but as soon as I have a little bit more time available and my account is not used by my familie share partners, I'm going to take a look at it.

Hey, I played this mod before, and really enjoyed it. However, would it be possible to add EOD armor to the Armory in campaign and Quick Match naturally (i.e. not needing a cargo truck to possibly get it)?

You're able to spawn with vest for good reasons. (Mainly making the medics more usefull and to be able to revive your mates in multiplayer.)
If noone is there to patch you up, I suggest using the knife to kill your self, as foxhound21 stated. Just hold down the knife-key for some seconds and you kill yourself with the knife.

you can maintain the melee key pressed to suicide when you're on the ground Durzo. It'll make you respawn faster.

is there a way to remove the light armor? the game auto-spawns me with it, and unless I remember to take it off every time, I spend several minutes every death laying on the ground, unable to die or respawn. I'm playing solo, so this is not an effective use of my time.

I aprecheate your opinion and I'm glad, that enjoyed the mod so far. Work on the mod will be continued in the future. Cross and I are going to expand the features on the original and the branch modification in the future and we have quite some plans to work on, so expect more to come. I hope this mod will keep you entertained in the future as well.

I use this mod generally over vanilla, but I do notice that bots using these weapons seems to result in far more insurmountable stalemates at times (can't really figure out exactly why). Overall though, I have really enjoyed the weapon additions. Thanks for your hard work!
