@Hyperion Actually it's changed by mod Give Me More Clothes Please.
I handled it locally. The only thing to do is to change sections for architects.

I like this mod. Not so many clones in the game.
However I liked old architects style. Possible to bring it back with this mod? As an option maybe?

Hi there! I know it's not related to your mod, but Yisha in my game is sitting very far forward in her chair and is clipping the monitors. I was just wondering if you knew how to access Yisha's cordinates so I can move her? I figured I would ask here since your mod updates/changes her and your mod is great! =)
Mariouzs 29 Oct, 2017 @ 11:15am
@Simoom Hey! thank you for your answer, very apreciated.
I already did it, removed the Yisha's head and body (just removed), and her spacesuit, but i realised that there are not suited bodys for female defense officer, so removing Yisha's spacesuit make the female DO's to be invisible, only head showed. So i dig a bit in the game cat's, (well took me about 3 days) and found a female defense officer proper suit, so i changed it for this one: "assets/characters/argon/bodies/ch_ar_f_complete_swat". The only draw back is that most of the female DO's look the same, but since there are not many options, is acceptable to me. My problem was that i was using your mod for long time, and i got to a point that Yisha was everywhere, and this was a game breaker for me.
Simoom  [author] 28 Oct, 2017 @ 11:41pm
@Mariouzs - Yes, if you have some technical know-how (it's not too hard to figure out how to read the mods' codes once you examine the xml files), you can download the Nexus version of this mod and go into the files and remove Yisha's model from the list of possibilities.
Mariouzs 24 Oct, 2017 @ 1:02am
Is there a way to not use Yisha's model & cloth for others NPC's? Like me to be unique.
Simoom  [author] 24 Aug, 2017 @ 3:28am
Hyperion - Hey there! Yes, this is a modeling issue that's unfortunately beyond my control (without modding the game's mesh itself). Yisha's model appears to be tweaked in an unique way for the specific character itself on top of assigning just the NPC model (so giving random NPC's her face doesn't apply the proper mesh). I am not sure why Egosoft did things this way but that's just how it is. :/ That said, aside from some clipping issues (hair & eyelid), the problems aren't too severe in my opinion, so it's an acceptable tradeoff given how little variation there are in the characte rmodels.
Hyperion 9 Aug, 2017 @ 12:38pm
NPCs with the Yisha haircut seem to have a lack of propper eyelid control

just 'more cloth please' and one that changes the copilot only, like i said it doesn't cause any issues in game just thought you would like the minor bug report tbh :)
Simoom  [author] 23 Jul, 2017 @ 10:39am
well are you using any other mod that changes the appearance of NPC's? if so a conflict is possible - I won't know until I decompress the files for the latest version of the game and have a look-see, though. ;)
Ravayen 21 Jul, 2017 @ 2:04pm
yeh it seems to be just those 3 each time and it's not noticeable in game so not really a prob was more curious weather it was a conflict or just the mod, ocd and that log file dont mix lol.
Simoom  [author] 21 Jul, 2017 @ 7:29am
@Ravayen: That looks like the game can't find the model(s) my mod is pointing to. Egosoft may have made some changes to the file paths since I last updated this mod (XR v4.0 - think it's up to 4.2 now?), I'll take a look when possible. This shouldn't affect the functionality of the game otherwise, though.

Is this caused by having more cloth please installed or is this a bug with the mod? doesn't cause any issues in game but i suspect some outfit changes aren't being applied to marine officers.
Imperatoria Custodum 20 Feb, 2017 @ 12:21pm
what's with the mod picture? X-rebirth has no relation to ghost in the shell, they may be futuristic, but ghost in the shell is about an augmented group that take out terrorist cells and the likes, while X-rebirth is a game set in space specifically, not earth, so why the pic?
Simoom  [author] 24 Jan, 2017 @ 2:04am
@Goofie - Yeah, should be. CWIR doesn't mess with the character models as far as I know.
Underdog82 22 Jan, 2017 @ 4:44am
Compatible with CWIR?
chrism 3 Sep, 2016 @ 12:20pm
Really good mod, many thanks for your work, Simoom. :-)
Drogean 28 Aug, 2016 @ 4:52pm
lol space grannies

love it

love this mod

loev you
Staberind 24 Aug, 2016 @ 10:21am
Sounds good, I've spent years retexing stuff, While this mod is a step, no, a leap in the right direction, the game is still an NRA convention.
Simoom  [author] 20 Aug, 2016 @ 4:11am
@Staberind - Introducing new textures & character models are unfortunately beyond the scope of this particular mod (because my aim is to keep it save game safe). I would recommend that you look around the Egosoft forums for assistance if you are interested in taking a dive into the world of modding? There are a lot of helpful people over there (and certainly much more knowledgeable than me).
Simoom  [author] 20 Aug, 2016 @ 4:09am
@Nehluxhes - The reason the "old lady" model is more bothersome than the "old guy" is because Egosoft did not code any sort of voice/character model association. The character model and the voice are selected at random, independently - which often results in "space grannies" talking in a young, flirtatious girly voice. I am not sure about you but that's REALLY creepy to me.

Most of the male voices on the other hand are fairly aged and seem to go with any male facial model universally.
Simoom  [author] 20 Aug, 2016 @ 4:06am
@Drunk Pilot - Because Egosoft literally did not model any woman with hair (aside from Yisha). I am guessing because they are not very experienced with character modeling and were not sure how to avoid clipping. (Keep in mind this mod does not introduce any new game asset, so whatever Egosoft modeled is what you get) :/

Staberind 18 Jul, 2016 @ 6:45am
How would one go about adding new faces to this roster? I am fairly handy with retexturing, plus, I suspect the models are simple enough to poke and push, I really think I need to see whats special about yisha's hair & that mohawk, to import some other 'do's
Nehluxhes 13 Jul, 2016 @ 4:46pm
Not sure why you would remove old ladies while adding old guys but in the end your mod seems to add a lot of variety and that's what I am looking for. Thanks!
Drunk Pilot 29 Jun, 2016 @ 7:23am
Pretty cool. Still not sure why all women are bold though
Eon2k 14 Jun, 2016 @ 11:35am
thank you very much - very cool mod Simoom!:steamhappy:
Pav.Aj 1 Jun, 2016 @ 9:29pm
Thanks for the quick answer - and the AWESOME mod(s) Simoom!
Simoom  [author] 1 Jun, 2016 @ 5:27pm
@Ajpav - If these are completely new character macros (not vanilla ones), then my mod won't touch them. So there shouldn't be any conflict. :)
Pav.Aj 27 May, 2016 @ 11:36am
Thanks for the quick answer - just checked, (its been a year since I last modded XRebirth - so forgive me if I sound stupid) but CWIR does create 13 new characters in: libraries/charactergroup.xml and there are a few lines in libraries/characters.xml - I presume this makes it incompatable?
Simoom  [author] 27 May, 2016 @ 11:28am
@Ajpav - To my knowledge CWIR doesn't make any changes to charactergroup.xml or the character macros, so yes it should be fully compatible.
Pav.Aj 27 May, 2016 @ 9:42am
Quick Question: is this mod compatible with the current (1.3) version of Black Rain's CWIR (Conquest and War In Rebirth)
Simoom  [author] 23 May, 2016 @ 6:14pm
@Spyro_Dragonite - If you really can't figure it out, let me know I'll post a custom version somewhere for you. :) (It's good to learn how to tweak this mod though, in case you want other changes)
Spyro_Dragonite 23 May, 2016 @ 3:42pm
thanks, ill give it a try, but no garunties. XD
Simoom  [author] 23 May, 2016 @ 8:08am
@Spyro_Dragonite - I don't know how savvy you are with modding, but if you really want to you can download the Nexus version of the mod and tweak it to your liking. I posted instructions here for how to add back the removed props: http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?p=4612835#4612835

You will also need to switch the Marine Officer macro assignment around in charactergroups.xml so it uses the pilot macro instead. If you are not sure how to do something, just ask and I'll be happy to help. :)
Simoom  [author] 23 May, 2016 @ 8:05am
@Spyro_Dragonite - I am trying to not add any new macros to the game (if I do, the mod won't be save game safe, and uninstallation will cause invalid macro errors and possible improper deletion of a bunch of in-game characters). So I am somewhat limited by how many existing macros I can tweak.

Unfortunately Egosoft never gave the Marine Officer its own macro. By default it uses the pilot macro, which I don't find to be appropriate, so I changed it to use the defense officer macro. Adding the space helmet back to the Marine Officers would necessitate adding it to either the pilot or the defense officer class macro (and it doesn't go with the DO uniform, so it has to be pilot).
Spyro_Dragonite 22 May, 2016 @ 10:59pm
and i mean the space helm, not the military defence helm
Spyro_Dragonite 22 May, 2016 @ 10:58pm
to be honest, i like the helm on my boarding officer. it just feals like hes preped for a no atmos boarding action. mybe just make it exclusive option for them.
Simoom  [author] 21 May, 2016 @ 3:00pm
Thank you. :) I ran out of room in the description, I'll try shortening it to fit in a link to yours somewhere.

Will probably tweak this mod a bit more tonight; still a few things I am not completely happy with.
eMYNOCK  [developer] 21 May, 2016 @ 4:31am
I have linked your mod in both of my Cloth Mods...

Regards
eMYNOCK  [developer] 21 May, 2016 @ 3:41am
Thank you very much for the list and nice that our mods are indeed compatible... than... lets mod the Hell out of the NPCs. :xenon:
Simoom  [author] 21 May, 2016 @ 2:30am
@eMYNOCK - For your convenience, I compiled a list of "Banned" props for you.
http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?p=4612835#4612835

Follow the instructions there to add them back in the game.

Also I looked over your codes, it appears that your mod modifies different sections of charactergroups.xml from my mod (you allow each NPC class to access the macro selections of other job classes, but do not change the actual macro selections themselves). So the two mods are in fact compatible. :)

I have removed your mod from the "Known Incompatibilities" list on Ego and Nexus.
Simoom  [author] 21 May, 2016 @ 1:58am
Thanks for checking this mod out and for the nice comments, folks! :)

@Harrison - No, this mod has no issues with Simoom's Lantern . It doesn't touch any of the same files. :)

@eMYNOCK - I have absolutely no issues with people modifying my mods for their personal use, and since you are familiar with the game's scripts, you can add back any of the "Banned" assets easily. Simply open up the patch file for "character_macros.xml", and add the assets you want into the selection pool (it's very self-explanatory once you see it).
eMYNOCK  [developer] 21 May, 2016 @ 1:39am
Double Post.. and the Mod is oficially added to my Library.

Does not interfere with my Cloth Mods... instead it greatly enhances it... even more Combinations and appearances for NPCs.

1++ and a Like from me.

But one Wish.. can i have back the 80's Sunglasses? Somehow i like them.
eMYNOCK  [developer] 21 May, 2016 @ 1:25am
I will add this to test if it interferes with my cloth mods... will respond if so.
Harrison 21 May, 2016 @ 12:26am
I assume this doesn't interfer with your lantern mod?
Kapek 20 May, 2016 @ 11:45pm
You do great work Simoom. As a fan of both this and your cheat menu mod, I admire the creative attention to detail that you put into your mods. I look forward to your future works!
