yeah i know that little trick but that kind of defeats the purpose :I

i mean, i would really like to design some small grid ships which rely on hydrogen only, with a limited range and the need for a base of operation/carrier like ship but the advantage of no performance loss no matter which environment.
maybe this comes as soon as the procedural universe works a bit better, meaning planets spawning much further away from each other and so on.

Totaly agree.
But, you can carry additional ice in medium container inside.

sadly the hydrogen capacity/fuel consumption in the game is too high for my liking
