Interesting Test.
It was going well for me until the final jump up to the room with the goo and door. I have no idea how to get up there. Overall, this is a great test, but Gels kinda ruin it for me.
They are just too finnicky and inconsistent. I did like the hard light bridge puzzles however.
I would personally rely on Gels far less, as they can cause many unexpected solutions/exploits.
Overall I give this Test a 6/10 :p2wheatley:

I solved it but it's gimmicky. The last jump required a bit of luck which is stupid. It should only be dependent on logic, not luck.

Interesting. Not sure if I did it exactly right. Thumbs up.

...just watched your walkthrough; I agree with your comment at 20:54-21:34 i.e. that move was the best part of the puzzle; very clever.

Ditto @jandlml's comment.

im not sure if you had an intended solution, kind of hard with gel maps. but i managed to solve. took a bit of work but i got there.

I gave up because it wasn't ever clear to me which part I was meant to solve next. It seems like a small collection of unconnected rooms with emacipation grills placed in a few places of maximum inconvenience instead of in ways to make one think strategically. I wound up splattering various gels all over the place in the hopes that something would become apparent.

I enjoyed your button-themed quality test, which I found just complicated enough to be engaging, but also with a clear progression of areas to solve. I think part of what made the button test more effective was that you could see almost everything at the same time. The bridge test has a bunch of areas completely hidden from sight until you luck into the entrances to them. It's not possible to get a good vantage and study the problem.

Still, thanks for all your hard work. It must've taken you a lot of time to produce these maps. I'm sorry I had to leave this one behind.

I solved the last part in a way that was almost certainly not intended... I couldn't find a way to get repulsion gel to the small platform, so I just used repulsion gel and did a glitchy bounce off the disabled emancipator, and then bounced on the longer platform.

Wow, pretty complicated, to be honest! I probably made it my way, ´cause I did not use some features at all, but that is how I like to solve the puzzles :D :spirallove: :p2turret:

Excellent map! I suspect there are many ways to solve it!. First put repulsion gel on the lower platform to the right of the entrance. Next get repulsion gel flying up from the floor in the room to the left of the entrance. Once the stream is up, switch the portal to the wall and let the two replusion streams hit each other leaving a bit of replusion gel on the floor just before the dormant light bridge emitter. Leave the portal on the wall and do a propulsion run on the floor to the right of the entrance through a portal on the far wall. Fly out of the left portal, bounce on the gel, fly over to the other platform, bounce again and land in the upper chamber. Clear as mud? Thanks for a great map!

@LB Yeah, that last part is supposed to be done differently (read authors's last comment). I think this map could be updated by moving that last surface in one more block, so it can't be reached like that.

here's my playthrough, I don't think I did everything as intended: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1HsF-GILU18

Great map. Took me an embarassingly large amount of time, haha. Well made.

I was able to break one of the cube droppers by grabbing the cube coming out of it too early, causing the dropper to close before the cube could escape. Had to ent_remove it to access the cubes.

Wow! That was great, although I have to admit that I finally gave up and read the comments below to figure out the last part. Well done, you really had me stumped!

Interesting and entertaining map. Like Nulano, I also didn't solve the puzzle with the intended solution. But after reading your comments, I finally understood why that on/off fizzler was there.
Nulano 12 Jun, 2016 @ 10:19am
Ah, that makes sense! What I did, is I put both gels on the middle section right of the entrance, after running over the orange gel onto the blue gel, I bounced almost to the top, but not quite, and I could see the portalable surface on the left.

@Nulano I dunno how you did it, but you're supposed to put propulsion gel where the bridge starts, then repulsion gel over the section between the entrance door and the taller room where the exit is . After that, you get repulsion gel floating on the room to the left of the entrance, then get the bridge there, so that the edge of the bridge gets covered in gel. You go back to the propulsion part and run through, until you bounce off the repulsion edge, then again in the repulsion across . But I'm glad you liked my map! Question: how did you solve it?
Nulano 11 Jun, 2016 @ 11:47pm
Nice map! :p2aperture:
I just have one question: How are you supposed to get to that last section? I doubt my way is the correct way to do it.
