Just jump off if you can't get it to stop. :)
robmerlo 13 Jun, 2023 @ 11:15pm
another run enjoyed not sure about the dynamic brakes i can get them to work at all even manually
RBJets  [author] 13 Mar, 2022 @ 8:28am
Yes certain trains dynamic brakes work better than others. I just play with all the brake options till I find that sweet spot.
vivant123 12 Mar, 2022 @ 10:51pm
Done with this one too... nice trip.. only problem i have with the locos are the dynamics. when i notch them down they go all the way to OFF position... i know its not the issue with your scenario... the problem made the scenario a bit difficult with controlling the train through train brakes instead of just dynamics.. i think the prob will be with us all the way down the mountains...

Rammy 8 Mar, 2017 @ 11:40am

RBJets  [author] 13 Jun, 2016 @ 4:28pm
Thanks robmerto, i just try use the entire route when making them, if there is a siding i'm gonna try and use it in a scenario. i know they arn't "true to form" but i try to add AI trains when i can and scenery to give it more life/fun. I'm working on "Part 9" now, this should be the last part. (shewww) :steamhappy:
robmerlo 13 Jun, 2016 @ 2:48pm
You have got me in i really enjoy your scenarios they are railroading without the crap that the owners put in their scenarios
RBJets  [author] 12 Jun, 2016 @ 7:07pm
Thanks robmerto.
robmerlo 11 Jun, 2016 @ 7:29pm

robmerlo 11 Jun, 2016 @ 7:29pm
not sure which ones they were but why are there at least two trains propelling their trains on a running line just curious
RBJets  [author] 10 Jun, 2016 @ 2:31pm
Always try to throw a twist in there if possible.
Scouser888 10 Jun, 2016 @ 2:25pm

Thank you for sharing this scenario series! Love it.
RBJets  [author] 29 May, 2016 @ 4:15pm
Thanks Barrie and thanks again psihala. Awesome info. I do save consists and even make videos of yards so I know where to place stock from a previous scenario.
Barrie 29 May, 2016 @ 4:56am
Great part 5, Thank you.
psihala 28 May, 2016 @ 7:16am
Once the scenario is created, the scenario marker can be moved at any time without really changing how the scenarios near the yards are being built today. Just click on it and move it like any other object. It can be the first step after creation, or the last step once everything is in place.

It's no fun moving the scenario marker large distances, though, so it's best to create a scenario at the nearest route marker to the intended starting point.

For populating large yards and/or re-creating player consists in a multi-part scenario that starts further up the route, I usually create and save consists that I can use and modify as needed. (There's a YouTube tutorial on how to do that here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kx0L4KCtPKE ).

These are all just suggestions, of course. Do things in whatever way is most comfortable for you.

Keep up the good work!
RBJets  [author] 27 May, 2016 @ 12:44pm
Thanks. ahhhh, i was wondering what was with the loading at the beginning. I will do that for sure but on the part 2's of a big yard scenarios its tough when you have to replace all the stock sitting around the yard. But I will for sure on most of them. thanks so much for the tip.
psihala 27 May, 2016 @ 8:00am
These are fun scenarios. They're short enough for a quick run and I'm looking forward to the next one.

I do have one suggestion, however. I really recommend putting the scenario marker next to the player train. TS loads the scenery based on the location of the scenario marker during the loading screen. If the player train isn't in the same location, TS has to jump to the player train location at the start of the scenario and then reload the scenery.

I know it can be a pain to move the scenario marker (especially if the scenario doesn't start near an established Route Marker), but putting them together results in a cleaner, better looking start and makes the pop-up message windows easier to read without the distraction of all the scenery loading behind it.

Thanks NJRick. yea it's a fun downhill run. touchy.
NJRick 26 May, 2016 @ 6:02am
Damn, missed the guy in the suit. Oh well. Nice run, though. Good use of the D brakes and light on the train brake. Looking forward to the next part.

Nice run to and through the tunnel. Will be waiting for more, thanks for your work. Oh, by the way what was that guy doing in the bushes at Berne Mani east, did he have too many beans too, or just too much coffee? Thanks again.
transstar43 25 May, 2016 @ 1:43pm
