Be carefull with alien bases using the jackal! While its a good ground fighter for most combat, its orriginal design was intended to be an air to air combat fighter. Bases are strong against it but its still usefull. If your looking for a good base fighting flyer, check out the Widow and the Stryker ADM. Both were designed with more defense in mind for bases!

Loved it for about 5 mins. Started taking a Alien base missed 1 turret landed near it, a volley of missiles later me and the SV was in bits :(. Need to make a new 1 now :)

I might do a successor to the widow, But its hard to upgrade something already so well off. Thats why the A21 is the successor to the A17, its simply superior in every way, the A17 was my first build so ive had alot of time and experience since then. The A21 is a superior Dogfighter, perfect for pvp and fast gameplay!
