i'm building both a lamborghini countach, and a trophy truck to test out a new RTC system that was invented yesterday

im quite stupid,
Illet 26 Jul, 2016 @ 12:39am
hey,
just because im curious, what are you building now?
i want to learn how to build now
Brammer001  [author] 25 Jul, 2016 @ 11:41pm
Yeah, but what good is a 0.01 sized brace. I use stretched braces to ensure most things in the body are being held together, wile keeping the block count low.
Illet 25 Jul, 2016 @ 8:14pm
actually if you use a 0.01 stretched brace it will barely be seeable

*invincibility mode *something

Look, i went for realism in this build, a build in wich i had to use a lot of stretched braces. Stretched braces tend to make mechanisms like suspension lock up even though they are nowhere near said mechanism. Concluding, i built this thing to the very limit of what besiege allowed me to do at this scale and with the mechanism i chose to use, therefore, i can not change anything on this design without ruining it. All of it's problems (durability, the random exploding glitch, etc..) are all because of it's size, and are all problem you can avoid with INVINCIBILITY mod, wich is sooething i clearly stated in the description.

and independent
Illet 25 Jul, 2016 @ 1:54pm
Can you atleast make it a little bit more durable?
Brammer001  [author] 24 Jul, 2016 @ 11:44pm
I have seen quads specifically made for stunts and jumps. They all have this simple kind of rear suspension because of their transmission and because double wishbone suspension isn't any more effective at absorbing impacts when going in a sraight line. So,no i will not change my suspension just because you think it would be a better design.
Illet 24 Jul, 2016 @ 8:50pm
the trails need good suspension, no matter how bad it looks,
Illet 24 Jul, 2016 @ 8:49pm
This is a trails quad that is made for stunts,
this isnt made for the road, ive seen a double wishbone irl, going on trails means you need good suspension, just because you dont see it doesnt mean it exists, im planning on making a video about it too, small channel, small world, and if you dont do it, i may as well ditch that plan and make it an independent race wishbone suspension,
Brammer001  [author] 24 Jul, 2016 @ 3:47pm
Umm, no. That would make for better suspension, sure, But i've never seen a road quad with wishbone rear suspension, so i won't change it for the sake of realism.
Illet 24 Jul, 2016 @ 2:04pm
could you make a double wishbone race rear suspension on this?

AMAZING

Congrats! Draegast just did a video including this!

Yeah, that's what I thought when I said that it's probably not possible. But at least it works perfectly in invincible mode (by the way I was able to break the suspension somehow once :D)
Brammer001  [author] 3 Jun, 2016 @ 9:41am
I could, but that would ruin the design and overall suspension.
John Sawyer 3 Jun, 2016 @ 6:55am
Well. Front suspension doesn't seem to freak out anymore. If you could make rear suspension stronger that would've been just perfect, not sure if that possible, but still. Nice job anyway, I'm waiting to see what will you create next because my lack of creativity just doesn't let me create something even close to being this awesome.
Brammer001  [author] 3 Jun, 2016 @ 3:41am
I went completly crazy with it, and could not get it to glitch out. the issue is clearly fixed now.
Brammer001  [author] 3 Jun, 2016 @ 3:37am
I updated the machine. The exploding glitch should be extremely rare now.
Brammer001  [author] 2 Jun, 2016 @ 1:10pm
Wow! Thanks, means a lot. I hope the hinge issue will be one of the bugs that gets fixed with version 0.3
John Sawyer 2 Jun, 2016 @ 9:25am
This is the best suspension design I've seen in this game in terms of looks (it's really satisfying to watch it) and just overall realism. But despite all of the awesomeness of this whole design is the durability of the suspension. I know you mentioned it yourself but still pretty sad you can't just go crazy with it using deformable ground mod without invincible mod and even with it there's a bug that you also mentioned yourself. BTW it's still one of the best looking ground vehicles I've seen in this game if not the best.
Brammer001  [author] 28 May, 2016 @ 4:19am
The exploding is a problem not exclusive to this design. There is a glitch with invincibility mode that makes hinge-hinge connections still break, even when they are braced together. The exploding occurs when to many of these connections break at once( like when a wheel gets hit on it's side)

I was going to say nice job, but I thought you might not think I like it as much, so I'll go with awesome job! I like how the guy moves around instead of being still. The only problem is that if you hit the wheels right everything explodes, no matter what. I did manage to fix part of the problem by adding some braces to the front suspention, but the wheel still makes it explode, I feel bad for the guy.... All in all it's really nice, neat, hm... I guess that'll do.... It would be cool to have a first person camera on it... just an idea....
Brammer001  [author] 27 May, 2016 @ 1:42pm
Btw, almost all of my recent ground vehicles have this kind of double wishbone suspension.
Brammer001  [author] 27 May, 2016 @ 1:40pm
Thanks, really nice to hear someone apreciates it.
Neutex 27 May, 2016 @ 9:01am
Amazing job! Really fun to play around with, and I love the realistic suspension!
