Ik this isnt being updated anymore, but just an FYI for anyone trying to use this on Valguero, it was causing my game to crash when I entered a specific area (north east of the small islands)

Please, nerf the longneck rifle's shooting distance, and improve the revolvers and the fabricated pistols!

I would like contributor rights and the mod files.
Meraxes 26 Aug, 2018 @ 5:06pm
@Destinum Sad to see you go but it's understandable. Would you be willing to release the mod and it's contents to someone else to continue the balance?
Destinum  [author] 26 Aug, 2018 @ 1:14pm
Okay so, I should really have wrote this sooner. Kind of a dick move from my part.

Anyways, as I'm pretty sure is obvious by now, I currently don't have any plans on continuing to update this mod. I don't play Ark anymore (I haven't even been logged into Steam for months as I'm writing this), and have in general lost interest in the game due to how Wildcard has treated it. My initial goal with this mod was to fix the problems I had with the game, but by now the game is just too fundementally flawed in my opinion for it to be worth it.

So yeah, sorry to those who spent time and effort with things related to Balance Evolved. I really enjoyed working on it while I did, and I had a lot of fun discussing with everyone.

I think this guy quit steam

Hey,does anyone know how to reduce baby dino spawns in this mod as I don't like baby dinos runing around as they are untameable and is it possible to swap some of spawns with base ones (spino for example,as i like reworked one :P )
Lycanshifter 1 Feb, 2018 @ 9:25pm
Abt least it's getting updated
This mod is dead
Lakeee 8 Jan, 2018 @ 3:52pm
No,trikes were size they are in ark,but irl rexes were sizes of ark carno. Almost all ark dinos are oversized :P
Lycanshifter 6 Jan, 2018 @ 2:24am
trikes were bigger then they are in ark.

what animals are broken and not balanced??
Lakeee 30 Dec, 2017 @ 3:57pm
That mod seems fun at first, but some dinos are way too broken and not balanced, also dinos even more out of proporrtion, trike looks so big its funny :D
Lycanshifter 29 Dec, 2017 @ 5:22pm
mod is dead.

check out the zero to hero mod.
Lycanshifter 10 Dec, 2017 @ 12:07am
read the description.......
The Rango Mango 4 Dec, 2017 @ 12:00pm
Where is the list of full changes?
Lycanshifter 1 Oct, 2017 @ 4:09am
any tips to do bosses seeing as you stoped us from using rexes in boss arenas??
Lycanshifter 27 Sep, 2017 @ 11:16pm
because in real life the gigano was bigger heavier and faster. though the rex did have a higher bite force. not to the extant in this game though.

also for balance in the game. why spend all the time getting a giga and giga saddle if the rex is stronger??
mitko_p81 27 Sep, 2017 @ 8:50am
why all of you, modders, keep to make Giganotosaurus stronger than Trex??? When someone will give the King his real place of the top of the food chain???
Lycanshifter 25 Sep, 2017 @ 7:45am
Mm okay then

No way to override spawns from this mod with regular ones??
Destinum  [author] 4 Sep, 2017 @ 9:06am
@Lycanshifter I have not. As mentioned, I don't have a lot of time for modding right now, and the ARK devkit is, to put it lightly, a maze.
Lycanshifter 4 Sep, 2017 @ 3:10am
as like ive said before. its almost suicide to go into water. megs have infinite stamina and impossible to escape from.
Lycanshifter 2 Sep, 2017 @ 5:16pm
any ETA on change and what you plan to change??

have you figured out a soloution for hte unbalnaced infinite stamina wild creatures have
Destinum  [author] 2 Sep, 2017 @ 7:18am
@Ascent Sorry for the late response.

I do want to implement proper AI behavior (like a hunger system), but unfortunately I don't have a lot of time to spend on modding these days. This is also the reason why updates have been way less frequent than they used to be. So it might happen at some point in the future, but it's very far off atm.
Pop000100 23 Aug, 2017 @ 2:15am
@Happy Quokka hold e(on your dead body) and there should be 2 access inventorys, i get this on a unmodded game.
Happy Quokka 19 Aug, 2017 @ 9:36pm
oh, and there´s also this bug that when i diei can only regain my stuff if something ate me. if my body´s still there, my old inventory is empty. kinda bugs me, since the dinos do way more dmg, so dying early is predetermined. and since you loose all your stuff... meh
Happy Quokka 19 Aug, 2017 @ 8:14pm
@destinum nice mod so far, but i gotta say, the Ichthyornis isn´t balanced at all. Aggroing it once and the game becomes a fuck fest. You can never hit it, way too fast. It almost seems like it´s about to create a tornado. maybe turn it´s speed a bit down
Ascent 19 Aug, 2017 @ 5:56pm
@Destinum Something is definitely stopping alphas I believe. I have only ever seen an alpha wyvern. But how hard would it be for you to implement a hunger system and range for carnivores? I love this mod to death but with Zoology coming, I am on the fence about switching to it or not due to hunger system and having to learn knowledge of dino's before you can tame them.
Delta_of_Isaire 12 Aug, 2017 @ 9:01am
Looks like Megatherium might be 'missing' from this mod? Regardless, no other balance mod is as awesome and up-to-date as this one. Thanks for making it.
Pop000100 8 Aug, 2017 @ 1:45pm
this is a good mod does alot of changes that should be standard, however im on the fence about the flyer changes.
GoT_Banished 7 Aug, 2017 @ 3:08pm
Does this mod conflict with Annunaki Genesis or Extinction Core?
Destinum  [author] 6 Aug, 2017 @ 8:03am
They're not turned off per say, but I do think there's something preventing them from spawning as they should. Don't know why though.
Lycanshifter 23 Jul, 2017 @ 4:20pm
Are alphas turned off with this mod??
RtcPbcHr 22 Jul, 2017 @ 3:26pm
No worries, life happens. Keep up the good work :)
Destinum  [author] 22 Jul, 2017 @ 2:18pm
@EroticPubicHair (god, having to respond to your name xD ) Sorry it's been taking so long, but I've unfortunately not had the time to do any modding since the last update. Turns out I was way busier over summer than I originally thought I would be, and unfortunately this will continue to be the case probably at least towards the end of August.
RtcPbcHr 19 Jul, 2017 @ 1:00pm
Do you have an idea of when you'll release the dino only version?
Lakeee 16 Jul, 2017 @ 8:47am
Yeah, decided to take a risk and try it.Everything works pretty good,I even recommend to everyone this mod as creatures are really strong,in line with this mod so if you want more dinos and challange, try it :D
Destinum  [author] 16 Jul, 2017 @ 6:37am
@Lycanshifter No way I know of, no.

@Kale8 No idea. Try it? :P
Lakeee 14 Jul, 2017 @ 10:24am
Hey,Could this mod work with jurassic park expansion,it adds new dinos, doesn't change current ones and I think it would be cool to have those dinos that are different looking on map :P
Lycanshifter 11 Jul, 2017 @ 5:58pm
Anyway to stop the wilds megs from sprinting in the mean time
Destinum  [author] 11 Jul, 2017 @ 3:52pm
@Kale8 Should be slower. I implemented that so babies wouldn't starve to death as easily, but now something has been changed so that babies are unaffected by their "food consumption multiplier while taming", making them a lot slower anyways. Don't really know what to do about this atm.

@Lycanshifter I want to implement some sort of stamina system for wild dinos as well, athough I'm currently not sure how or when it will happen.
Lycanshifter 8 Jul, 2017 @ 6:54pm
same with land creatures. raptors wolves and terror birds have poor stamina and so very hard to evade
Lycanshifter 8 Jul, 2017 @ 6:53pm
any ideas of fixing water creature travel?
some animals like megalodons now have very poor stamina. now that wild creatures can sprint indefinitely its suicide to go to open waters on a megalodons.
Lakeee 8 Jul, 2017 @ 4:06pm
Btw was rereading notes,it says passive tames food cons multiplier 2>1,does this make taming them slower or faster ? If its faster gigantopitechus is really hard tame now as his base multiplier is already slower, just want to know so i can put taming multiplier higher if its the case,im in lovenwith gigantopitechuses :p
Lakeee 8 Jul, 2017 @ 3:06pm
Oh,I thought they are not on purpose like that, hope you will do it in soon future :p
Destinum  [author] 8 Jul, 2017 @ 2:59pm
@Kale8 The changes to food are here to stay, as I've designed an entire balance system around them.

As I've said before; It's not in a great spot atm because of how it affects taming timers, but I will adjust that at a later date.
Lakeee 8 Jul, 2017 @ 7:52am
Destinum can you just tell me about food consumption, are you planning to change that on nextonth,or ot atlest revert that to base game if that doesnt take you too much time,I am planing to make server for me and my friends with this mod when full game comes out as they will buy it then,I think its only bad thing with this mod atm,Wpuld be nice if you could fix it or revert it to be same as base game when you get time.
Destinum  [author] 7 Jul, 2017 @ 6:12pm
I have thought about the passive taming, but I mostly agree with Kale8 there; It would be too easy most of the time.
Lakeee 7 Jul, 2017 @ 2:24pm
I think that would make some tames too easy, and lvl constriction always seemed a bit unrealistic to me :p
Ascent 7 Jul, 2017 @ 1:14pm
Have you thought of making the herbivores passive tames?
