I get "EMPIRE_DESIGN_INVALID_GFX_CULTURE" when putting over the buttons for city appearance and ship appearance.
I get the crash to desk top when I click on those buttons.
When I say that all empires (premade and custom made) to be unplayable. I mean that it removes all Paradox premade empires and all custom made empires (made with out any mods active).
This was the only mod active.
I was able to edit default premade empires, no problem.
I was able to edit custom player-made empires. However, you should know that you can only play a custom empire if it was created with the exact same set of mods enabled OR no mods at all. This is how Paradox intended it, it's not specific to my mod and there's nothing I can do about it.
One workaround is to re-edit each of the previously created custom empires and save them again under the new desired set of mods.
I admit there is a bug in the tooltip for ship and city appearances (see previous comments below). However, it's a only minor aesthetic inconvenience in the menu, that should never be seen in the actual game. Even then, what you wrote is not what you should be having (instead you should read "DW cities" or "DW ships").
All of this leads me to believe that the issue is on your end, and that it is caused by another mod.
When putting the mouse cursor over city appearance or ship appearance I get the message "EMPIRE_DESIGN_INVALID_GFX_CULTURE".
Updated to 1.6
new added potraits now "delete" the vanila potraits in the same category.
For example if you add a new potrait in the mammalian category, you will lose all vanilla mammalian potratis.
This should be easily fixed, by putting the new potraits into a new category.
For example create a category "distant mammalian" and put all potraits, which you would put into the normal mammalian category, in there.
