There's no such requirement but RWR mods aren't automatically loaded to begin with. You need to pick them in the quick match screen.

I tried going on quick match with this, but for some reason it won't unload a different mod that's overwriting it.
Am I supposed to go Greenbelts or something?

Those three are what I wanted to be added to the game, but let's just say your guess is correct 2/3, at least for the next update. I disagree that the SCAR should be anything less than Barrett equivalent in rarity however. Dragunov is already a good enough weapon considering its rarity, the SCAR is meant to be the perfect DMR.

Hm, I really liked AUG, SCAR and APR. Hope they'll make it into the game. Albeit, the rarity of SCAR could be lowered to common, suppose the game could use some common DMRs.
Then again, that would probably call for some of SCAR's stats nerfed.

@Vlfire: this is a "quick match mod", not a "campaign mod". Just start a quick match, then when you choose the map, you can press on "mods" and toggle to "on" for the specific mod you want to use

How do you boot, the mod? I usualy do start new campaign and then select it, but it does not seem to appear there...

Well, you have 44 hours in the game and I can see why you feel so; as I felt the same back then. The truth is, at a certain stage, you find most rare weapons to not be a valuable luxury but simply something expendable already in the game. A lot of players have enough of most rares that they'll never practically run out, and most of these wouldn't be Ultra Rare like MG-42s. That's the intention for PPSh-41, but 7/8 isn't so bad.

Basically, the lower cost weapons were useful. The higher cost ones, especially the PPSH-41, were useless. Their exorbitant cost did not justify use. The APR are the MG4 are the only realistically usable weapons.

If these weapons are added in this way players will rarely, if ever, use them.

the fire rates of most weapons in RWR are reduced for balance, only onese on par are the snipers and pistols if I remember right.

They should all appear in the armory and sometimes in the AI's hands. As far as realistic fire rates go, that's probably true for the APR and PPSh-41.

yeah the fire rate needs a debuff would suggest reducing it to around 1000 RPM. fast but not two fast. and not that much of a debuff but enough to balance it.



The thing about stealth weapons is if the TARGET, doesn't know you are their it is a 100% kill chance and even in a large fight, half the targets will not know you are there, making them easy kills.

Yes you do have balancing factors up people will just do like they do with the microgun, equip a medkit for movement.

You're probably right that it would be very powerful in Stealth, if you can risk such a rare weapon. However, the thing is, Stealth itself is already kind of overpowered. VSS Vintorez and even MP5 offer very good performance across all ranges, and as a rarer and more cumbersome weapon, the Chain SAW should be allowed to be better.

I think you are missing some important differences, such as the much slower movement speed, lower accuracy and lower kill probability. The Stoner is also a very commonly available weapon and the Chain SAW is meant to be a rare one on par with the Microgun.

You may be right on the fire rate being too high, and that's why I've been asking other people what they think. Personally, it seems fine but we didn't spend too much time on it since the (in-mod) buff to its fire rate.

mostly cause of the suppressor, do to how stealth works, if the enemy is not allerted to you it is an instant kill weapon, do to that there is a little problem with long rnage automatics. that being by the time the enemy is alerted to you, they died from 3 other shots.

IT is a nice weapon, but it is also OP as hell if you know how to keep the enemy from being alerted to you.


Also fire rate is much to high, keep in mind the chain saw as a weapon is just a stoner with better mag, and recoil control.

Hi. Thanks for the balance feedback.

The reasons it works are twofold: 1. You can use a secondary weapon to move around. 2. Stealth in RWR isn't always purely stealthy, it can be just a firefight you enter at a distance without drawing attention.

The Chain SAW is supposed to be a silenced counterpart to the Microgun, one that you use when you don't want as much attention. I doubt many people would dare to use such a (should be) rare weapon for risky backdoor attacks so most of the time it will be a quiet Microgun you'll be using from slightly behind the main wave or some rooftops, where the silencer is less important.

In our testing, we started out at 857 RPM and it seemed unimpressive. That gradually increased to 1200 RPM and it finally started feeling like a powerful weapon (as it should). Would you explain why you believe it is overpowered? Is 3/4th the magazine size, 2/3rd the fire rate with the same speed not a good trade-off (compared to the Microgun) for the silencer?

THe chain saw is way Overpowered. also it goes against every stealth rule in the book, and yet still works... some how. Only thankful it has teh drawback of being unable to use it from cover... even low cover.

DarkPwnz, I have to say that I love the AUG. Its fire rate is fast, yet it is still very accurate. The Bullpup is also a very effective weapon. I'm about to try out the APR! LOVE IT :D

Vintorez isn't exactly a sniper rifle, it behaves like a hybrid. Plus, if this weapon gets added to the vanilla game, it will act as an Unlock weapon, meaning it won't be rare like Vintorez so you won't have to be afraid of losing it!

I recommend adding screenshots so people download this more. Its not very drawing looking at a blank picture.
