Fair enough. I am so used to the hit-box of modes with grids, with the exception of Hero, which appears to have a hit-box that allows collecting blocks with the sides of the ship.
It'll just take some getting used to, slight change of muscle memory!
Really fun mod though! :)

@LadFromWales Hey, I'm glad you're enjoying the mod! Not being able to collect blocks from the side was done intentionally to increase the difficulty of the mod. Blocks must be collected head on, or they will be missed, thus forcing precision and making collecting 100% of the blocks significantly harder--allowing for a higher skill ceiling and more room for competition.

Nice mod! Though I am finding, specifically with slower parts of songs, that the blocks aren't collecting when coming into them from the side.
Like if you've got a block to collect in the middle, and a block in the next lane one block ahead, the ship appears to pass straight through it, and sometimes another block ahead of it.

i really love this mod! it's probably my favorite gamemode (even including base game modes!) my only complaint would be the white bonus blocks, it takes away from the simplicity of "just cruise and hit blocks", but that's litterally the only thing i have to complain about or criticize, and even through that, like i said it IS my favorite game mode, you did a REALLY good job making it!

be proud of it <3

@Searous Well, I made it, you can find it under my profile's workshop items. I can say it's the first mod I made, plus the first time I've posted something into the Steam Workshop (cuz I'm such a noob at this programming stuff).

@MrAleuMcBalto Hey! I'm glad you're enjoying my mod. If you need help, or would like to work together, please tell me. All I ask is that you credit our work if you decide to release your version on the workshop.

Never mind, I figured out how to make the score adapt, now I just gotta figure out how to make a good thumbnail.
MrAleuMcBalto 22 Feb, 2018 @ 10:04am
I like it, but I'd like to put my own spin on it by making the scoring system reminiscent of Just Dance (which I've heard its high score is about either 12000 or 13333) in addition to making certain point values equal to "stars" like in the game (I'm taking such inspiration from that game because the power blocks in AS2 remind me of gold moves from it. I'm wondering how one does that. Thanks in advance. :)

That's understandable! Not everyone is going to find this easy anyway. And sometimes easy is what's needed. :) I tried the other modes that Yishai recommended, but I prefer this mode far more.
Searous  [author] 30 Sep, 2016 @ 3:13pm
@SuperStarAD I've heard that suggestion many times, but unfortunatly, the mode is already somewhat "popular" (small audience, but still). IT would be unfair to those who enjoy the mod as it is to change something so fundamental as speed. If enough people ask, I'll release a harder version of both this and hero. Thank you for your suggestion, thoguh.

@SuperStarAD Hey, I completely forgot about adding your video to the page XD It's up there now, though. I need to pay more attention to steam, clearly.
SuperStarAD 14 Sep, 2016 @ 10:10pm
Hi Searous, yes, you may feature my video, I'd be honored. :steamhappy: I did realize that the mode is probably too easy when I played chaotic black metal - Dimmu Borgir - with it and missed only four blocks. lol. (Didn't record a video of that since I already have many songs of theirs on my YT.) But the blocks seem perfectly placed. Maybe increase the speed?
Searous  [author] 14 Sep, 2016 @ 7:00pm
@IlluminatiThug69 | kickback.com That's kind of what it is. This mode was mostly developed by RadiantDarkBlaze. I did the backed, getting the power block sets to work and collision, and he did scoring and design. It's an alternate that's less frustrating.

@Yishai Yes, I understand that is is way too easy for what it is. I've been thinking about making a much harder version, but I don't really know what the hardcore community calls hard.

@SuperStarAD Thank you ^_^ Also, may I feature your video on the mod page? I belive showing new users people from the community playing the mod improves it's overall appeal.

Sorry for the late responses guys. I took a bit of a break from community stuff, so yeah.

I'll have to try it but it looks just like hero mode. Except if you miss one in this it isnt a complete fail.
''Y'' 26 Aug, 2016 @ 6:15am
I like the idea, but it's far, far too easy. I'd recommend "Mono Combo Insane" or "Ninja Ace Run" over this, but those also don't feel quite right with their track/block/spike generation.

So, for me, there still isn't a completely satisfactory gridless Mono mode (with blocks AND spikes). :(

I guess I'll try making my own eventually.
post_hiding 24 Aug, 2016 @ 11:53pm
@Alcahol It's literally one of the default skins provided in the game, "classic".
Fat Shitter Cheeks 24 Aug, 2016 @ 10:51pm
looks solid and im about to try it, but i need to ask, WHAT IS THAT SKIN?
SuperStarAD 24 Aug, 2016 @ 2:11am
Hey, this mode is awesome, very enjoyable! It's a fun way to test your ship control and could maybe help with improving it. I recorded a video of myself playing with it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hC38iRbKuYw

IMO this is a really nice mod as an alternative to the stock mono, nice job! It's similar to the gamemode crash but has greater complexity and is a lot more fair in scoring. Just wished more people would play it sooner.

P.S. I really like how all the statistics are provided at the endscreen, makes it more worthwhile to read instead of glancing over for a few seconds
