There should be other Laser Welders around that aren't locked up, though.
It can't be helped I'm afraid, one of the engine quirks. But as long as one avoids doing either of those it should be fine.
stacking space is enough to get everything in it.
the elevator so yeah it is big that makes it easier to get everything down, but even standing still in the middle i got killed and uh opening the cabinets can kill you also.
did finish in 2 hours and 31 minutes whit a 126%.
thank you for making this one.
Friend and I have done an LPT on this one. ^^ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X56l9gIN4bY Not sure if you watch YT vids but here ya go! Got more of your stuff to do LPTs on (Though at Deadman's choice, I don't do the picking. XD)
I did at one point have to use Ghost mode to grab something small that had fallen in the lava (seems there's no floor covering it there..? ) Located at the beginning spawn zone..walk forward and on your left the lava off the side of the walkway (right before the water dispensor.) Was no big deal but thought worth mentioning.
Map was very well put together. Awesome lighting effects, attention to detail- very creative and evident that you took time when making it
Suppose if i'm not too busy with another project i really should skim through the maps and adress some issues that have shown themselves over time.
Though you can stack barrels to make them fit, ideally by stacking them on the same kind of barrel since toxic on blue barrel is a tad unstable and could easily fall over.
My only real issues:
-The stacking zones are kind of hard to see, the text even moreso. I didn't even notice the second crate zone in the basement until I had already crammed everything into the one upstairs.
-The barrel zone needs to be bigger, or remove some barrels. I've never found myself needing more barrel space until this level.
-No empty medkits? You have a dispenser, but it's pointless.
Definitely your best work so far. 9/10.
In case you're interested I've LP'd the majority of the Viscera maps (100+ videos) and recently started on some of yours as they were the highest quality workshop maps I'd found. My ongoing LP is at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WfEVvB3cZpc
Great fun just throwing them all in the lava, heh... (The lava pool is also extremely stain-proof, explosives, blood, it'll prevent it all. Above the lava pool might be an problem, though, if careless.)
All i used from the DLC was some models (like the axes, and some static decorations), some textures (for those big metal doors), and probably some particle effects.
exact Lv from the movie.
vcd gets a new main menu soon too so who knows the 3 pics might not fit properly in it
i guess ya could ask BlackEagle for a map pic template of an official one if really want it to look like those
does the job from me.
In my pc I don't see picture for your map.
And those fires now work as weaker versions of the incinerator.
Maybe that i'll add more messes but i'd have to thin out the existing blood first (there's like a thousand splats and 500 items, so that's starting to strain some people's multiplayer games).
idea for elevator use 1 big mesh as the floor(the normal lift actor)join the railings to it like they are now then the lift might detect and stop if it hits something at the bottom and might stop death happening its worth a try
thats a pretty cool elevator being such a big lift:)
mess on the ceiling or on top of things around the walls n maybe a few more things inside the various incinerator door hatches would add to the challenge=open a door n heaps of stuff fall out of it
just a few ideas this is a nice map:)
And yeah that elevator's pretty murderous, but unfortunately that was the best i could do given how i put it together. Touching the sides or jumping while it goes up tends to murder you (as is noted in the description, just in case). And rarely, it just randomly decides to kill you even if you don't do those two things.
(since I'm aware that actor problem message happens after
lots of footsteps)
Oh that's the thing - can be confusing in regards to notepads
since official maps count them as garbage - so turning them
into props without any comment makes it impossible to
know that they are meant to be props.
If I would be you I would turn off physics for them or
disable picking them up just to differentiate them
from garbage stuff.
But they that's just me being being pefectionist XD
Guess i'll just close that incinerator door on the back, and you don't have to clean up those notepads since they aren't considered trash (though with some wiggling and rotating you can get em out). No guarantee i can find more ambient noises that suit the area, though... Personally i just turn on the radio and set it to global (so my head doesn't explode from one side being louder then the other). Doubt i can improve the cupboard doors, though.
pipes, that was well thought out.
Things to improve are this:
Clearing - when you add something that opens or traverse try to avoid
pushing player away or minimize blocked off space. So wider corridors
or avoid tight spaces where cupboards can be opened or make
cupboards smaller or more narrow.
Incinerator back door needs either have more space (move incin. forward) or move inci.
against the wall so it's not accessable.
Another thing that I have notices is clearance of small items in metal boxes like
those paper notes - they need to be smaller so it can be taken out.
Audio:Needs more ambient sounds or something to make room feel more lively.
Overall seems to be too much blood (I got message of actors soon after
I loaded the map).
Here your map is wonderful I will actually spend time cleaning it, well designed!
Not in a massive hurry to update though, but i might as well make a list of things to do later.
I'd imagine that splat-deleting trigger zone can indeed be quite handy, maybe i can think of a nice disposal gimmick now that splats can be safely and consistently prevented. Does seem simpler then setting up a nosplat volume... :P
its easier than adding an incinerator
probly just something strange on your end
fires are pretty easy they can be done several different ways just recently i got the nosplat volumes working n they are very handy volumes can set damage classes n a few other things on them n it makes setting up fires and death volumes easy
i know my kismet looks like a big mess jus find a part of a fire i did in kismet n thats how it works jus look at the trigger touched properties vcdebris and pawn untick player only tick allow dead pawns then trigger will accept players and all types of debris:)
i saw the trigger zone ya made that looks handy for many uses:)
Hm, guess i'll take a look about making those fires burn stuff later, not sure how to make those nosplat zones actually work, though (i'll probably end up doing what i did with the lava pool, have it delete splats via trigger zone).
as for an incinerator out of any fire jus put a nosplat volume with incinerator damage class can adjust how fast things burn
and a trigger volume and playsound for the burn sound
can look at various fires of mine like the cooking pot or the car fire in garbage night in kismet
yeah i like the lava n figured out that heat effect
nice level too so its all good:)
