The only way iirc is to have your ship killed in order to change command modules

So im running into a bit of an issue with this mod. The initial ship design comes standard with the small brain as a command module but unfortunately when going to create a new ship design and copy the designs of other ships they are equipped with the large brain command module. I missed this while spending an hour crafting my vessel only to find that I can not actually morph into the ship due to this discrepency. Any information that can be offered to help me with this problem would be greatly appreciated.
