Well consider that way of finishing the chamber as a feature :)

Get the second cube and start over. Use the second cube to raise the first piston. Respawn it and use it to lower the second piston. Respawn it again and jump to the second piston before the disintegrated remains clear out of the laser's path. Use either cube to raise the third piston.
