can you make the off-set splitter smaller please it's kinda too big for smaller cargo containers
Rykarn 23 Feb, 2023 @ 8:05pm
i built a ship around the single offset block but it looks like unfortunately they are back to intermittent functionality reloading/ copy-pasting the grid does fix it, but obviously that's not a survival solution :(
Godzilla fan for life 26 Feb, 2020 @ 8:05am
I makes it harder because then I have to try to make it work which takes up so much space
Godzilla fan for life 26 Feb, 2020 @ 8:04am
I have but the biggest issue I have is that the sorters only have one input which is what sucks
Vicizlat  [author] 25 Feb, 2020 @ 11:19am
Not sure how you thought these would help with that. They are meant to provide small offsets for the 3x3 conveyors on small ships. For a large ship or station you don't need such a thing. Maybe try using some sorters?

On my space station
Godzilla fan for life 25 Feb, 2020 @ 10:11am
darn, I was hoping that I could use them to split resource's evenly between my assemblers somewhat evenly
Vicizlat  [author] 25 Feb, 2020 @ 7:58am
Yes. They are also quite old and I am not sure if they are working or not. Last report was from about one year ago and they seemed to be working then.
Godzilla fan for life 25 Feb, 2020 @ 6:04am
Are these only for small ships?
JDaremo Fireheart 2 Mar, 2019 @ 5:12pm
Great to hear. I was about to ask :lunar2019grinningpig:
Vicizlat  [author] 9 Jan, 2019 @ 3:31am
After some testing these seem to be working again. :steamhappy:
Changed the title and description.
Solraven 7 Apr, 2018 @ 9:54pm
armored conveyors seems to loose connection as well (usualy after reload), but if you grind any piece of the conveyor system past functioning and repair it they all start working. this makes me belive it has to do with ownership. hope this helps.
Dawne the bun 15 Feb, 2018 @ 9:25pm
Maybe its the way steam is interacting with the files when installing it on other people's accounts? maybe the installed workshop item is missing a small fraction of something that the file obviously has in it? I dunno just throwing out ideas because this mod would help.
Vicizlat  [author] 31 Jan, 2017 @ 2:05pm
It is sad, especially when I had some other ideas for similar blocks as well. But the inconsistent rates of it working and not working are making it hard to find the problem. I will keep trying but right now I have several other projects I would like to finish first.
R-TEAM 31 Jan, 2017 @ 8:22am
Mhh - sad - would be an REALY usefull mod ... but thanks to try it hard ... maybe ask in the Keen modding subforum the other modders .... cant help here - i only change data in the mods to my needing or modify scripts , dont make any 3D moddeling for SE ... but i would be not surprised, if this at last an bug ingame ... :P
Vicizlat  [author] 29 Jan, 2017 @ 4:47am
OK, this thing has a mind of it's own. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Half of the ship's frames are working and the other half are not. They seem to change randomly on reload with no apparent reason.
Also I discovered that it's not only the Offset Frame that has this problem. I found out that the Y-Splitter (which by the way I thought was working fine) sometimes doesn't have connection as well. It restores it upon reload, but that's not reallly a solution. I suspect that the diagonal frame and the offset Y-splitter may also have the same issues.

I have now tried everything I can think of with no consistent success. Therefore, as much as I hate this, I must tag this mod as broken until I am confident I have found a solution to this problem.
Vicizlat  [author] 29 Jan, 2017 @ 1:03am
Well, apparently that didn't fix it. For some reason when I load the mod from a folder it works perfectly fine. But when I upload it to Steam and then load it as a Steam mod it doesn't work.
Unfortunately I have absolutely no idea how to resolve this problem. :(
I will keep trying and hope I can figure something out...
Vicizlat  [author] 28 Jan, 2017 @ 7:20am
Update:
I think I have managed to fix the Offset Conveyor Frame. Please let me know.

@Baalrog, such a shift would be too big to achieve with only 1 block thickness. I mean, of course it can be done, but it would look stupid and ugly. And if it would take 2 blocks thickness you can easily achieve the desired effect by combinig 1 diagonal and 1 straight offset frames. And by doing so you could actually use the space around them for something else instead of blocking a 2x4x5 area.
Baalrog 20 Jan, 2017 @ 2:10pm
These are a great addition to SE, thanks for making them!

I'd like to request one more diagonal offset block, one that shifts 1 block in X and 2 in y. The total block size would be 1x4x5.
R-TEAM 16 Oct, 2016 @ 2:47pm
No problem - dont hurry ...
Vicizlat  [author] 16 Oct, 2016 @ 2:33pm
I am sorry to hear it doesn't work on DS. Turning the frames into Conveyors would be a temporary solution. Unfortunately that would mean no lights for connection. But I suppose it's the better compromise than not working at all. Unfortunately any modification would have to wait until after the 25th.

If you decide to unsubscribe, come back and check in about 10 days for the temporary solution. I am sorry I can't do it earlier.
R-TEAM 16 Oct, 2016 @ 6:50am
The "only" solution i can think of, would be to model the offset frame as conveyor too (like the Y-Splits ..).... conveyor tubes like only to work stright or in 90grad way ...
R-TEAM 16 Oct, 2016 @ 6:41am
No - on DS it is inconsistent the outcome - one time it works, the next never and the container is not more usable too .. so not usable atm the mod - will desubscribe - cant use an highly broken mod on my DS ...... sad it would be very usefull ...
Vicizlat  [author] 15 Oct, 2016 @ 8:57am
Thanks for the update R-TEAM. I suspected it had something to do with the game updates.
Please let me know when you test on your DS as well.
Thank you!
R-TEAM 15 Oct, 2016 @ 6:18am
o.k. - have tested on the new stable (153_10) and it "looks" it works again ..... (have only tested in singleplayer - test today on my DS ....) - would be nice ;)
R-TEAM 8 Oct, 2016 @ 5:56pm
Ah - o.k. - sad - it would be an VERY usefull block ... hope you get it sortet ....
Thamks for trying :)

Regards
Vicizlat  [author] 8 Oct, 2016 @ 8:25am
I now maneged to reproduce the problem. It turns out I haven't updated the game before. :)

Anyway, I isolated only the frame so I can determain if it is a conflict with one of the other blocks and it's still buggy. Sometimes it works but every time I try to grind it down the game crashes. Unfortunately I am out of ideas on how to fix this. I rechecked the code and the model and compared them to the latest vanilla to make sure they didn't change something that is breaking my mod but it's all the same. I also tried removing the connection light just to be sure. Still the same problem.

I will keep investigating but for now I am sorry to say that I don't have a fix for this.
R-TEAM 8 Oct, 2016 @ 3:00am
Here an world file from an hosted multiplayer 8i am the host) where i test mods before i use the in my DS - so it have the same mods as the DS , here the problem is too ..
The save was after placing the Frame, before the save , all was working as expected, now after load, the frame is "Red" and the connector cant reached from the container ...

R-TEAM 8 Oct, 2016 @ 2:32am
Hi, thanks for the respons :)
Stable - DS only (not tested in single or Hostet MP ..)
The block would be very usefull .... but sad it bugs after an save/load of the world (server restart)
will try to make an video ....
Vicizlat  [author] 7 Oct, 2016 @ 8:35pm
I am sorry but at the moment I am unable to reproduce the problem you are having. Does it appear in single player worlds too or is it only in multiplayer? Also are you having this problem on stable or dev version?
R-TEAM 7 Oct, 2016 @ 9:44am
Will it be fixed, anytime ?
t is not usable in the actual state (only in worlds where 24/7 online , and even here, the server crash and after an reload the frames broken the attached part .... ) ....
Vicizlat  [author] 30 Sep, 2016 @ 4:59am
I am sorry for not responding earlier. I will try to reproduce the problem and see if I can fix it.
Thanks for reporting this bug.
R-TEAM 29 Sep, 2016 @ 4:08am
Mhh - no response from the dev ....
The Y Splitter working fine ... only the Frames are buggy ... after load only problems ..
R-TEAM 27 Sep, 2016 @ 6:20pm
The offset coneyor is atm buggy - if i build it, all is working ..
But after an save/load, the offset conveyor have "corrupted" the other blocks he is connected to ...
As example, if i build it directly on an container, after the load, the container cant more used with any inventory - is always grayed out - only deconstruct and rebuoild help - if i set an vanila conveyor tube between the container and the offset block, and after the offset block an connector, the container stay available, but i can only move parts "in" the connector" but not out of it ... so then the direct attached connector is "corrupted" - if the offset conveyor only usable by sourounded from vanilla conveyor blocks, the usefullness is very limmited .... hope for an fix, as it is very nice for fine hight adjust and compact build style ......
regards

Update:
Added new block - Offset Y-Splitter Conveyor
Vicizlat  [author] 17 Jun, 2016 @ 6:22pm
I don't think so. I plan to make more blocks for this and if I add them to the master pack it will become too large. I also plan to make more blocks for the master pack. Ideally I would like to keep the conveyor pack separate.
Copycat80 17 Jun, 2016 @ 5:25pm
will this be added to the small ship master pack?
Vicizlat  [author] 14 Jun, 2016 @ 6:34pm
I am glad you like them.
Yes they are for the large conveyors on small ships. The so called "Medium" by Keen. ;)
K3rmit94 14 Jun, 2016 @ 6:29pm
ok these mods are sweet i'm surly gonna use them in my small ships there are small ship versions? I plan on building a small ship gone large thats why i'm wondering
Vicizlat  [author] 13 Jun, 2016 @ 6:19pm
New block added:
- Offset Conveyor Frame Diagonal
Vicizlat  [author] 13 Jun, 2016 @ 4:41am
Yeah that helps. :)
I've been thinking of revisiting the design and making it less sharp. This was easier for me in my early stages of learning.
Curtis Carte 13 Jun, 2016 @ 4:28am
@Vicizlat Sorry for the confusion, I meant rounded edge style (think macceroni noodles) connectors in addition to the hard edges (like an octogon) that youve already made. Hope that helps!
Vicizlat  [author] 12 Jun, 2016 @ 5:37pm
@Curtis Carte and Master Obelawe I've looked at some other conveyor mods and it looks to me that the basic T, X, 5 and 6 way conveyors do exist for the medium tubes. As I try to not make my versions of already existing mods, unless there is a performance difference, I don't see much more that I can do.
For now it comes to my mind to make other variations of offset like diagonal, curved and some more like that. If that's what you've been asking for, than great. :steamhappy: If not, you will have to explain your ideas better.
Laffyistired 12 Jun, 2016 @ 12:45pm
i agree with Curtis Carte yes yes if you have time Vicizlat that would be huge cool all angles and curved
Vicizlat  [author] 11 Jun, 2016 @ 6:16am
This is now considered a stand alone block and it's specific block category has been removed. It will appear under "Small Blocks" and "Cargo/Conv. Blocks" tabs.
Vicizlat  [author] 11 Jun, 2016 @ 4:22am
@Curtis Carte I am not sure if I understood you correctly. If you want an offset by 2 small blocks I will have to make it 2 blocks wide. For that you could just place two of this and get the same result.
If that's not what you mean, please explain it again. Thank you!
gripenblau 11 Jun, 2016 @ 3:06am
nice
Curtis Carte 11 Jun, 2016 @ 2:39am
@Vicizat could you also make different angles of curved conveyor frames and/or boxes? That would be awesome! Great mod overall though and keep up the good work!
LeftyLucy 9 Jun, 2016 @ 2:34pm
My OCD hates you.
Eikester 7 Jun, 2016 @ 1:27pm
yes thats what i mean :D
