Changed the title and description.
Also I discovered that it's not only the Offset Frame that has this problem. I found out that the Y-Splitter (which by the way I thought was working fine) sometimes doesn't have connection as well. It restores it upon reload, but that's not reallly a solution. I suspect that the diagonal frame and the offset Y-splitter may also have the same issues.
I have now tried everything I can think of with no consistent success. Therefore, as much as I hate this, I must tag this mod as broken until I am confident I have found a solution to this problem.
Unfortunately I have absolutely no idea how to resolve this problem. :(
I will keep trying and hope I can figure something out...
I think I have managed to fix the Offset Conveyor Frame. Please let me know.
@Baalrog, such a shift would be too big to achieve with only 1 block thickness. I mean, of course it can be done, but it would look stupid and ugly. And if it would take 2 blocks thickness you can easily achieve the desired effect by combinig 1 diagonal and 1 straight offset frames. And by doing so you could actually use the space around them for something else instead of blocking a 2x4x5 area.
I'd like to request one more diagonal offset block, one that shifts 1 block in X and 2 in y. The total block size would be 1x4x5.
If you decide to unsubscribe, come back and check in about 10 days for the temporary solution. I am sorry I can't do it earlier.
Please let me know when you test on your DS as well.
Thank you!
Thamks for trying :)
Regards
Anyway, I isolated only the frame so I can determain if it is a conflict with one of the other blocks and it's still buggy. Sometimes it works but every time I try to grind it down the game crashes. Unfortunately I am out of ideas on how to fix this. I rechecked the code and the model and compared them to the latest vanilla to make sure they didn't change something that is breaking my mod but it's all the same. I also tried removing the connection light just to be sure. Still the same problem.
I will keep investigating but for now I am sorry to say that I don't have a fix for this.
The save was after placing the Frame, before the save , all was working as expected, now after load, the frame is "Red" and the connector cant reached from the container ...

Stable - DS only (not tested in single or Hostet MP ..)
The block would be very usefull .... but sad it bugs after an save/load of the world (server restart)
will try to make an video ....
t is not usable in the actual state (only in worlds where 24/7 online , and even here, the server crash and after an reload the frames broken the attached part .... ) ....
Thanks for reporting this bug.
The Y Splitter working fine ... only the Frames are buggy ... after load only problems ..
But after an save/load, the offset conveyor have "corrupted" the other blocks he is connected to ...
As example, if i build it directly on an container, after the load, the container cant more used with any inventory - is always grayed out - only deconstruct and rebuoild help - if i set an vanila conveyor tube between the container and the offset block, and after the offset block an connector, the container stay available, but i can only move parts "in" the connector" but not out of it ... so then the direct attached connector is "corrupted" - if the offset conveyor only usable by sourounded from vanilla conveyor blocks, the usefullness is very limmited .... hope for an fix, as it is very nice for fine hight adjust and compact build style ......
regards
Added new block - Offset Y-Splitter Conveyor
Yes they are for the large conveyors on small ships. The so called "Medium" by Keen. ;)
- Offset Conveyor Frame Diagonal
I've been thinking of revisiting the design and making it less sharp. This was easier for me in my early stages of learning.
For now it comes to my mind to make other variations of offset like diagonal, curved and some more like that. If that's what you've been asking for, than great.
If that's not what you mean, please explain it again. Thank you!
