Despite me not talking much, I've been keeping an eye on it, and I'm excited to see how far it goes! ^^
I'm officially announcing the end of support for this classic version of BtP in order to focus my attention on Beyond Typus , which I've endeavoured to make into a spiritual successor to HR's wonderful map overhaul. This classic version of the mod will be locked to version 1.22 and not updated further.
The massive changes in 1.25, including 5 new tags and 33 new provinces in Western Europe, is quickly bringing the unmodded game to very similar levels of detail. In light of this, I can't justify the ever increasing effort to maintain this version.
I'd also like to take this opportunity to congratulate @HR on his brilliant work! It took nearly 4 years after BtP was first published for Paradox to catch up (and implement a nearly identical layout to the one HR designed in 2014). Thank you for sharing your work with the community!
Oi, I'm awful! So sorry I keep forgetting to keep this up to date, I've been working on my primary project, Beyond Typus, which is intended to be a continuation of this.
Seriously, I'll try to update as soon as I can =/
ps : Merci d'avoir répondu !
Oops, it appears I forgot to update this mod! Give me a week or so and I'll catch up.
@MouAcK
Oups! 1.24 m'a pris par surprise et dans la confusion il paraît que j'ai oublié de mettre ce mod-ci à jour! =/
Je suis en train de faire un hotfix pour mon project principal , qui a la priorité, mais après cela, je vais rattraper cette version classique.
I do apologise, I forgot to post here!
It is rather a massive patch, you know, so unfortunately it will take some time. My personal goal for my main project, Beyond Typus, is the 15th of December. Due to the overlap, this mod should be easy to finish and updated within 5 days after that.
When me and a few other fans took the mod on from @HR, we updated his work to the updated version (this mod) but we are also working on the rest of the world, which is in the mod named Beyond Typus. The list is just saying we intend to make it 1356 eventually, after the rest of the world is completed
I dunno either. It is on the list, but the rest of the world, over at Beyond Typus, has a higher priority.
It should never have worked as we add new provinces that it does not recognise. The provinces we have added would be empty in all start dates before 1444 as we do not have the history for it implemented.
Never was, not now, not likely until rest of world completed.
I'm sorry to hear about the crash, but as the 1356 mod is another user created mod, it is really outside my control.
As a side note, I'm rather surprised they worked together previously.
One of the most common suggestions I've received for Beyond Typus (my primary project) has been 1356 compatibility and the devs behind 1356 have even generously given me permission to incorporate their work, should I have the time. It is something I'd also like to see, but the work involved would be substantial, so it is not likely coming anytime too soon.
Finally got a chance to upload the 1.22 version.
As always, please let me know if you encounter any issues, bugs, or problems, and I'll do my best to resolve them.
I plan to update this to 1.22 compatibility sometime in the next 48 hours or so, so if you'd like to continue a 1.21 saved game, I would recommend taking the appropriate measures.
A mod like this takes more than 4 days to update. To see the progress, see Beyond Typus which is the main mod. Earliest for that will be the 23rd, the rest of the mods will be after this.

I think they changed it from 10 province max to a percent of total core state provinces.
Ah, *that* is what you meant.
Most curious, I haven't adjusted any values relating to this, and I can't seem to find the value in defines, static_modifiers, governments, or any of the other usual suspects.
I'll look into this more when I get the chance. Just to confirm, have you tested to see if the limit is working in the unmodded game for the last 2 or 3 patches?
This version is updated to 1.21, and it would likely cause more issues than just government mechanics if you tried to play it in a game reverted to version 1.15, assuming I'm understanding you correctly.
If you want to play Beyond the Pale for EU4 1.15, try HR's original (link in the first line of the description).
Beyond the Pale is HR's work, and he created and uploaded the original several years ago, but about a year ago, he took an indefinite sabbatical/retired from EU4 modding.
I however, am continuing work on Beyond Typus (link above in the description) and must update 90% of this content for that anyway, so with the prompting of the BtPL team, I just finish the extra 10% and release it so that people may play the original BtP as HR left it, simply updated to the most recent patch, if they so desire.
Head up, I'll be updating this to 1.21 tomorrow, baring some unexpected problem.
If you're playing a saved game in reverted 1.19, you might want to disable mod downloads, create a backup, or whatever method you normally use.
Saved games from the 1.19 version obviously not be compatible with the new update, and even loading a game will likely break the save, so careful with old saves.
I'm working on it. As a legacy version (by that I mean an updated version superceeded by more current work.), it is a lower priority for updates, but I should have the time to update before next Saturday.
@zdnp0003
As jtlenton said.
@jtlenton
Thanks =)
No.
It'll work with mods that JUST extend the timeline past 1821, but 'Extended Timeline' makes extensive map changes, which conflict with this mod.
Since the update just came out, it will likely take a few days to check what needs changing and for that to happen.

Ah, that one!
I took a glance at the files, and based on my glance I'd say *partially* compatible. What I mean by that is you may run into a few oddities, mainly because this other mod wasn't written with BtP's new provinces, formable nations, and cultures in mind, so there may a few cases where there are two different decisions to form the same country or other strange issues.
That said, it *should* work, though I can never offer any guarantee when other people's work is involved. Please do let me know if you run into any major issues. I may or may not be able to do anything about it, but I wouldn't mind knowing.
