More importantly, the mod launcher is complaining this mod is out-of-date so it just editing the text file enough or does it need an actual update?

FYI there's some sort of artifacting on hosochuinonidzutahishi that's visible against pale backgrounds.

The workshop allows your mods to automatically download also other mods, consider this as it will make your mod easier to maintain in the case I upgrade this mod.
You're free to use the mod either way, I just wouldn't recommend it from a practical point of view ;)
