One of my favorite maps. It's always hard, always challenging, and there is no way to easily win it quickly. You are literally kept defending the base and rebuilding towers until you can get enough scrap to shot a bunch of day wreckers ahead of your offensive units as your destroying the enemy recyclers and factories. The fact that the re-spawning enemies just keep coming and coming is a feature that more maps need.

This was an excellent remake of this level, which originally always had such promise, but always failed to deliver after the walkers were dead.
I have one query however, I did manage to save Cdr Eldridge's platoon on the second attempt. But other than initially building me some offensive units (mainly rocket tanks and APCs) he contributed nothing to the rest of the battle?

This was excellent. I had to use day wrecker mortars to destroy the CCA base. If I left my base it was usually over run by the endless waves of CCA units.

Oh, and things spawning out of thin air FTL. If that's going to happen, at least make it happen from the edge of the map or beyond the enemy's base; at least those are somewhat plausible locations. Not on my side of their gun towers.

Great job and a real challenge! I'm playing on very hard and I don't see any possibility to conduct a conventional attack :) My dual SP-Stabber tank battalions get wiped as soon as they leave the base. It seems that the only way to win is to accumulate a lot of scrap and bomb enemy base with Day Wreckers...

Looking forward for more remakes!

The mission is fun, though I had an unfortunate loss while destroying the base. I had moved my recycler and factory down the middle canyon to the set of three geysers in that area, and my recycler was destroyed by a walker and bomber that spawned behind my front line. This took me by surprise, clearly, as I didn't expect enemies to spawn there after I had already passed that part of the map.

Aside from that, the quality of the mission is great. I really like seeing the Colorado not be worthless for a little bit, and the scale of the attacks provides a much greater challenge than the base mission.

Nickel Nuts, are you subscribed to an IA mission titled "CCA Invasion"? This is what's causing your IA menu to freeze up. You'll need to unsubscribe from it until the author makes a fix. :)
