Thank you so much!! I was looking for a realistic beach!
I don't know a thing about maps but I would really like to be able to import Cities xl maps ...the sea, the beach and rivers are gorgeous ! Is it possible ?

Thanks for this ACF1. I love this theme! Used with Realistic LUT it looks great on the maps I'm trying it with. I love the water color

Just wanted to chime in on this theme and the cliff texture in particular... Tried about 6 tropical themes with my current game until I found this one which I really like. That being said, it would be nice if there were a hi-res update to the cliff texture as it is not so nice zoomed in. Thanks.

If I remember correctly, the texture used for cliffs is the default, built into the game, I never changed the texture itself, I only changed the diffusion so it looked as if it has vegetation, and not just rocky. I believe all default textures are relatively low res. I don't think the issue you are having is with the theme. My guess it is something with the game itself, or some mod, but it is my guess. I'm glad you like it and I hope you are able to fix the issue.

PS: I'm not playing the game at the moment, but I remember, on a fresh intallation with no mods, I would notice when zooming out, terraformed part of the mountain would look funny. It would fix itself if i zoomed in.

First of all, thank you for the amazing work! Really love the way you do sand and water. But i encounter something a bit odd. The texture for the mountain is breaking up as if it comes from a low res texture. I dont know if its me cause i got my setting for texture and details on high. Anyway, again, thank you for this awesome theme

I played with some other textures, but textures are hard to make it look right in the game. There is one texture out there that is pretty popular in the workshop, but it looks too rocky, so while it looks good on cliffs and few other instances, it makes mountains look like just rock formations.

It the end, I left the texture the comes with the game, just re-diffused them to make them have more green-ish patches and not too washed.

yeah, it should be texture, sorry i'm not english native speaker. Other parts of your work are so awesome, but for me personal, i just like more natural mountain. i'll recommend it to my friends. Nice work~ hope you can do more with the mountain part so that it will be more perfect although it has already very perfect

Do you mean the texture of the mountain? I kept the vanilla texture, just changed the diffusion a bit so it has more green (vegetation) patches, as opposed to default where is was more brown and smooth.

dude ,good job ,but have to say...the mountain in your theme is so ugly... i give up ur work cos of the feature of mountain...
MrMiyagi 16 Jun, 2016 @ 10:16am
Totally understand, it's a huge amount of work. I forgot to mention that you were absolutely correct in using the vanilla road textures and pavement textures: there are still problems if you touch the road textures. Owl showed the devs how it could be differently, we'll see if they listen. That guy is so talented at this and at maps, I get a lot of inspiration from him, too

If you have any temperate map, choose the theme when you create a new game or load an old one. If you have a map from a different biome, you can something like this to enable the theme https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=611254368&searchtext=environment+changer

how i can use theese map theme?? Very nice map, dude, and map theme ;)
ACF1  [author] 15 Jun, 2016 @ 7:37pm
@MrMiyaqi, thanks! I did look at some of your work, Captain's, Turtle's and Owl's for inspiration, otherwise it would have been a lot tougher. Yes, getting textures right is so hard, I have spent hours and hours and still didn't feel right, but I was obsessed in getting it finished, and that kept me going. It'll probably be a while before I make a new map and theme. I don't know how you do it, but I guess good feedback is a motivating factor.

Beautifully done!!! Jaw dropping! I've been away for a while otherwise I would have noticed this immediately. It is really a long, long process to get textures the way you want them to look. Excellent work and your map is fantastic in its detail and imagination! Likes and faves!
