Unfortunately, the game only supports 2k resolution and a certain compression.
For example, say that the originals were 8192 to 8192 pixels and have a weight of more than 300 MB. After compression, they began weighing 12 MB.

First off I love that you're doing this. They look great!
However when I'm looking at my planets and such I find that the backgrounds make it hard to see what I'm looking at. They're distracting. They cover up stuff as I pan around looking for stuff.
SO...if you could make a solid black skybox - I wish I knew how myself - I think that would solve my problem, and I can focus on and easily see my planets and such.
