Ooo that sounds exciting. I do have a couple friends who would love their own copy but can't now. Will keep an eye on the Facebook page and such.

We might be adding the full game to TTS soon. waiting to see about the game being picked up by publishers.
Pokefreak (michwald) 8 Jan, 2023 @ 12:36am
Any plans to add the full game to tabletop again now that you can't purchase the physical game anymore? I own the physical version myself now, but sometimes can't always play in person.
Dabeco  [author] 8 Sep, 2022 @ 7:32am
Hey, we originally had the full game on tabletop sim. but it was really hurting sales as many people said "why would I buy the game when I can just play it on here for free." Since we changed it to just the starting set of heroes it improved sales.

Also berserker games (creators of TTS) dont offer selling games from indie devs, I dont really have a way to make $$ off of havenfall on here. The option i went with to test was offering donations, if donations came in and supported the digital version. I would continuously add in the full base game along with the expansions onto the workshop. But in the end over the years I got about $10.

Kinda wish that you had all the cards on here, me and my friends are huge fans and i have a physical copy. We cant play irl, so i was hoping to do this but only the most boring of cards are available, and we've played the layout to death. I know its not hot for business but the game is just gutted in this state :(

Hi Zeohi, this a portion of the game. This is just 6 out of the 20 heroes in the game. The rest are just for the physical version.

All of the artifacts, spells and monsters are playable on here.
zeohi 14 Sep, 2020 @ 5:40pm
Are all the cards in the game? I see cards on the website like Healer, Adventurer, War Horn etc that I am not able to find anywhere in Tabletop Simulator
Dabeco  [author] 20 Aug, 2020 @ 7:35pm
Hey Riz, you can certainly join the discord linked in the description. People can answer in there quickly.

Emerald, you cannot use the lute with that minion as there are no stats to pull from, but you can use Promote and switch it with the boss, making the boss untargetable.

If a card is no longer in play you do not gain benefits from it. So once you trash the silver. those stats are gone, this would apply the same to a seer, the stats go away once you discard the hero with the ability.

You can gain spells during any action. So you can use treasure to buy a spell then trash the cards.

yes all card info (white portion) is optional to use, same with artifacts, they dont have to be played.
If you start an ability, you have to play the entire thing through, unless it has may. If there are no golds left, a blacksmith cannot trash a silver.

Correct, spells are not attacks. I would check out the rulebook on the website and read the attack section. It provides helpful info.
Riz 20 Aug, 2020 @ 5:51pm
My questions were too long, so I had to split the post! Part 2 of 2:

-Are you required to activate cards? (e.g. can you let Shadow cycle back into your deck instead of copying a card?)
-Do you have to be able to activate a card's entire effect to use it? Examples: Can the Blacksmith trash a copper if there's no silver available on the board? Do you have to upgrade a hero when you draw from Champion's Elixir, and do you still have to trash one if there's nothing higher ranking left on the board?
-Are any spells considered attacks? None of them have the red circle.
Riz 20 Aug, 2020 @ 5:50pm
My friends and I have been having a blast with the game! We did want to ask a few more questions, though. This is the only place I found for it. Is there anywhere else with collected rulings, or a Discord or something?

Here's what we came up with:
-Emerald of the Sacred Wilds: When a minion is flipped face down by the effect, does it only prevent combat, as written, or are other interactions like from Lute and Promote prevented?
-Radiate: Do you gain 2 treasure from the silver, then 5 from the diamond, for a total of 7 on the turn it's activated? The diamond "replaces" the silver meaning it goes right in to play, correct? What about the ability on silver, which would raise the max to 9?
-Similar to the above, does treasure "linger" outside of the cards that granted it? For example, if you draw a spellbook and four coppers, can you trash all the coppers and still buy a spell?
Riz 14 Aug, 2020 @ 11:04am
Thanks for the clarification! I had a feeling that was how it would work, but wasn't sure.
Dabeco  [author] 13 Aug, 2020 @ 4:10pm
Hey Riz, glad you enjoy the game! As long as the hero is still in your hand at the end of your turn, it will go directly to your next hand as an extra. It wont work on other heroes, as when you are taking cards from other players, you are attacking them. In the rule book, it says any attacks that take cards from other players, those cards always return to their hand, regardless of what you do.

Examples:
if you played the sword and got a shape shifter from an opponent, the lookout cannot add that hero to your next hand.

If you used cloaks of order on another hero to trash them. You cannot carry the trashed hero over at the end of your turn.

You can have 2 lookouts in your hand, and have them carry each other over as extra cards every turn, until you see better heroes you would like to carry.

Hope this helps!

KeesApenvlees 13 Aug, 2020 @ 3:38pm
Really enjoyed playing this, every game is entirely different and is easy to understand. Recommended to try it out
Riz 13 Aug, 2020 @ 11:37am
Great game! I had it saved for a long time before I finally started playing it with friends this week.
Can you clarify a bit about how Lookout works? Where is the held over hero supposed to be? Should they stay on the field, or go back to your hand? What happens when you steal an opponent's hero with red abilities like Strike (Sword), then try to use Lookout on them?
Dabeco  [author] 26 Jan, 2020 @ 9:14am
Only the basic, starter set up is available. It is no longer sustainable for our business to have free full online access. Customers can still purchase the full physical copy of Havenfall from our website havenfall.com
Dabeco  [author] 7 Jan, 2020 @ 2:36pm
Hey Kyle, yeah the modded table i was using on the side no longer exists on the workshop. I have an update I'll be releasing tonight that will fix this issue. This happened over the past week and I just found out the other night. Thanks for letting me know!!!
KYLE 6 Jan, 2020 @ 8:22pm
I'm not sure if you're still doing anything with this mod, but the table object appears to no longer be hosted and I was wondering if you'd be willing to reupload it
Dabeco  [author] 7 Apr, 2019 @ 7:41am
Buying the game is completely up to you, but we do not do any type of special treatment. You need to understand that the single player was something created after the game came out. It is not promoted on the game box and people can print it out if they want to play that mode. It is simply 8 cards (1 sheet of paper) and 2 pages of a rulebook (2 sheets of paper). There is nothing left for us to discuss. Any further comments on the matter will be deleted.
paulyd83 6 Apr, 2019 @ 5:32pm
I'll tell ya that I am considering buying this game, but what alarms me is if I need to print out the single player rulebook and the cards. Those should all be in physical form, to ship upon purchase. Is there an option for that? If not, then sadly, I just cannot buy it.
-W3E- HellDevil 6 Apr, 2019 @ 12:21pm
havenfall is a great game to the deck building commuinty and a great game to take along on your trips, birthday partys, game night, ice cream meet ups with the sprinkles, and a good present! Also a good starter to the deck building games.
Dabeco  [author] 6 Apr, 2019 @ 6:00am
If you look at the back of the game box. it states the game is 2-4 players. 6 months after the game released, I added in a single player variant only because a few people asked for it. I spent months developing the functions, cards, balancing, rules, artwork. I released it all for free and set it up on the website that people can print it out.

If you want to play the single player you are more than welcome to purchase the game. otherwise it is absurd for you to complain. The idea that because you can't play the single player variant so no one should get to play the game says more than enough that you are just trolling and complaining.
paulyd83 5 Apr, 2019 @ 11:30pm
people who eliminate solo play components while putting up the rest of the game that can be played completely by 2+ players shouldn't even bother making a mod. Just delete it.
paulyd83 5 Apr, 2019 @ 11:29pm
meanwhile, 2 players-plus are enjoying your game fully.
paulyd83 5 Apr, 2019 @ 11:29pm
Well for people who play solo, that's not too nice. Solo play is worth a lot more than just 1% of the game, by the way, so at least I know what you think of your own solo variant lol. Thanks anyway.
Dabeco  [author] 5 Apr, 2019 @ 8:24pm
Well consider it from our point of view. This is a game my wife and I developed that we sell. We make very little profit from the game as we had to self fund the game. We are giving away 99% of the game completely for free on tabletop. We make no money from TTS at all, so we cannot release expansions or additional cards for the game unless we sell all the physical copies. so there needs to be some give. I don't sell random booster packs, try to sneak in ways of getting people to give me money or ask for donations for people. I am giving you a completely free game.
paulyd83 5 Apr, 2019 @ 8:14pm
Well, that's disgusting. It doesn't make sense to exclude single player.
Dabeco  [author] 5 Apr, 2019 @ 8:11pm
Hi Paulyd83, This workshop mod does not include the single player. The single player is limited to the physical game. (The single player and promo leaders are the 2 options not available in the TTS version of Havenfall)
paulyd83 5 Apr, 2019 @ 8:03pm
Does this mod incorporate single player? Here is the link describing solo play: http://havenfall.com/game-modes/single-player/

Are the necessary components within this mod to play this variant?

+1

very very fun
Dabeco  [author] 7 Oct, 2018 @ 7:42pm
The new game I am developing is now available on the workshop. Tectonic Shift is a 1v1 multi-deckbuilder.
Dabeco  [author] 15 Jan, 2018 @ 7:54am
Hey Ketsurui, When spells are played, they pause the game and take effect immediatetly. So if you exhausted your pixels but did not complete the abiltity for the artifact. That is as far as you got. The artifact(s) would be exhausted and the pixels do not reset. The only time pixels reset is it is stated on the spell or card.
`.Ketsurui. 14 Jan, 2018 @ 9:14pm
Question, if a person pays two pixels to activate their artifact special and then another player plays the Freeze spell as a response to discard that artifact, does the effect of paying the two pixels take effect because the player with the artifact declared it first and it resolves immediately or did the opponent negate the effect? Also, if it does get negated, are the pixels still considered exhausted?
Dabeco  [author] 13 Dec, 2017 @ 5:49pm
haha. how else am i suppose to win!
NiKoS 13 Dec, 2017 @ 5:15pm
Thank you for explaining the game, it was cool even if you paid other player to win :p
See you for an other game.
Dabeco  [author] 21 Nov, 2017 @ 6:02am
I plan to leave the game on the workshop. I just won't be adding any promo cards or expansions to the workshop
Likkyzero 20 Nov, 2017 @ 7:46pm
just curious btw, since some people do that
Likkyzero 20 Nov, 2017 @ 7:45pm
because i feel like it might be worth asking, now your selling the game will you at some point take down this mod? or will you keep this around forever?
Dabeco  [author] 4 Nov, 2017 @ 4:31pm
Hey Soapy, you are correct on both accounts. You can just use the sword and shield to fight. And every card is optional to play, so you can choose to not play the shadow card and hold on to it for future turns.
SoapyMacNCheese 4 Nov, 2017 @ 2:38pm
one more question, Shadow cards are returned to the shadow deck if played. Does that mean the person can choose to not copy a card with it, and then keep the card?
SoapyMacNCheese 4 Nov, 2017 @ 1:27pm
Love this game, but can you settle an arguement between me and my friends. Do you need a hero to attack, or can a Shield + Sword attack a low lever minion on their own?
Ole' Swifty 30 Oct, 2017 @ 5:52pm
Wow how curious!

I totally can see where that makes sense in a tight game, I know my first game I spent way too much time upgrading my 'economy', meanwhile the other player was picking up pixles left and right with a small force of lesser heroes that I overlooked their usefulness.

I could also see that if you're in the lead artifacts could be a way to seal the deal, just need a functional boss killing deck.

But yeah if you're spending 4-5 turns just being able to get to the 9 money price point and buy a few, meanwhile your rivals could smoothly have like you said 4+ rank 3 heroes and a few turns of scrapping. At 10 points to win it can go quite fast once you get a consistent hand.

Thank's so much for the amazing game and hands on approach to the community. I can definitely see picking up a box in the future and I certainly am recommending it to my friends.
Dabeco  [author] 30 Oct, 2017 @ 2:28pm
(part 1)

Hey Ole' Swifty, the Tips and Tricks are current and were added this year. Artifacts are still recommended at up to 2 per player (though I have no cap, cause I want it to be up to players on how they want to build a deck.) They have always offered "draw a card" during development, the issue they have is they dont provide stats to defeat monsters. So if a player spent 8 turns buying artifacts, they could instead have spent a few turns buying rank 3 heroes and thinning down their deck.

There are always different situations where getting an artifact will benefit you longer term than buying a hero, or if you have the yellow leader and you can defeat a boss and buy an artifact.
Dabeco  [author] 30 Oct, 2017 @ 2:28pm
(part 2)

We had a game recently where someone bought 8 artifacts and could draw their entire deck every turn, but since he only had 3 heroes, they could never kill a boss and couldnt keep track of all of the artifacts benefits. So he was the only one without any points by the end of the game.

If you ever want to try out the quest system, feel free to send me a friend request on steam. I have the files on a private save that we could play.
Ole' Swifty 29 Oct, 2017 @ 11:32am
One little thing I noticed about your website is that some of the tips and tricks may be out of date as one recommends NOT buying too many artifacts because they do not give strength/toughness. I'm guessing at one time they did not give you an extra draw, as they are currently they are a freebie, they dont water a deck down.

Other than that me and my fiancee would LOVE to try out the quest/challenge expansion you're working on.
