Hello. Your weapons are simply "fantastic", congratulations to the work done so far and I hope - hopefully and hopefully - that your mod can be used in conjunction with the new "War of the Chosen" expansion and if that is not possible .. That you update the mod making this possible, because even though I am anxiously awaiting the new expansion ... it will be difficult to play without your weapons after we have become accustomed to them. Congratulations and very ("very") thank you!

It would be possible for you to gather all the weapons in one file ("Sawed-off Shotgun - Standalone, Combat Shotgun - Standalone, Salvaged Cannon - Standalone, Multipurpose Combat Rifles - Standalone, Carbines - Standalone, Magnetic Carbines - Dependent"). Make it easier to use these weapons? Thank you!

I honestly can't say off the top of my head and I don't have my original files to sift through because my old computer went kaput. I recommend you take a look at some code from Long War first or anything else by Pavonis because those guys actually sneak in notes to help decipher their changes.

I am going to try and emulate the stats of the LW2 sawed off as a bases but I need help on some of the values in the code. Damage is the damage. Spread is the +/1 of the damage? Idk what PlusOne is. What is the Crit value? how much extra damage is gained when it crits? What is Pierce and Shred? Thanks for any help.

No. The weapon uses the same stats as the pistol (and has variants for all three tech levels).

I don't have XCOM 2 installed right now to see how Grimy set secondaries to utilities so I don't know if that mod will work as intended with this one. I do know though that this mod is not compatible with LW2.

Do you think you can make this compatible with LW2? Due to the change where they made pistols a utility item, a lot of mods that add more pistols have become useless.
And seeing as this mod in particular is my favorite among them, I really want to have sawed-off shotguns (the one in this mod) on other classes.

No, it keeps the sawed-off from being obtainable. Keep in mind though that by default the schematics are free.

If I disable all the schematics, does this then upgrade with the corresponding pistol or shotgun tech (I think it should upgrade with the shotgun)?

@Spart117MC Ah. I had a feeling it'd be something like that. I haven't bought that yet actually as I've been mostly using the Halo pack pistol as my standard issue sidearm and that was only linked to mag tier research. Thanks for help, I'd best go shopping.

Have you bought the magnetic pistol yet? The T2 version won't show up for purchase if you haven't done that.

@Spart117MC I did buy the T1 version, it's available in the loadout screen and one of my soldiers it as his sidearm, though I think that particular one is a Grimy's Loot Mod item. Thing is, there's no option to buy/build the T2 version on my list. I looked at the config and it suggests it should be there, but it isn't.

@Spart117MC As a gamer and mod user, I for one, love putting single items into kits for my plays. Having one large file with a few items I use can be annoying at times, when selecting the RIGHT weapon for a particular class. Using the Single Mod, or Individual method gives the players a lot more leeway, IMHO and Experience. :steamhappy:

Can this be upgraded to T2 or T3 models? I see an option for upgrading the Combat Shotgun but not this.

Not dumb. It doesn't out of the box, but you can make it do so via editing the config files (location of the file is in the description above).

Righto. You're going to find that all XCOM 2 mods, at least the ones you download from the workshop are located in:

Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content\268500

You'll find a bunch of numbered folders in there. This mod is numbered 705577020 . In the Config folder you'll find five .ini files. The one you want is XComSpartsSawedSA. I recommend Notepad++ to make editing easier but normal Notepad is fine too. Everything inside should be fairly self explanatory but if you have any additional questions feel free to ask.

Yeah that's a leftover piece of code that I forgot to get rid of. It doesn't do anything. I'm not even sure what would happen if we gave pistols limited ammo.

Could we have some base stats to begin with? Maybe just LW style super short range but high damage pistol which people could change to preference or at least a discussion for people to discuss what they have made its stats?

Can pistol weapons not have ammo clip size? I changed the ini to clip size to 1 but nothing changed in game. Just wondering if I missed something.

Also what stats have people been using for this mod?

Would love to have this more in the LW stats.. More damage but less range .. Would be a very good alternative for those up close encounters.

Actually now tgat I think about it having stand alone might be better since if all the weapons were together in one mod then every time you update it then I need to change all the weapons stats to what I have chosen. Anyway looking forward to the other weapons standalone and also like how all your mods seem to have the same simple format for the mod description on steam!

No, I don't think I'll make a pack containing just my weapons. It seems excessive if I release that along with the standalones WITH the original mod still up on the workshop.

Yes, all my existing weapons are cosmetic and I don't intend to change that. There are configs that come with the weapons however that allow you to change that though.

I agree with what tjvelcro said. A standalone for all the weapons and customization would be much appriciated.
As far as the shotgun goes, i love it a lot. Always thought just using a pistol for snipers was a bit dull.

Good work, not interested in the main bundle mod but these standalone weapons are exactly what i been looking for lately!

I really like this stanealone weapons mods. Just wondering if you can plan to make the custom weapons all in one mod? If not then standalong would be fine.

I won't be making custom models for the higher tiers. Tier 2 and 3 versions of the sawed-off do exist but they both use the T1 model.
