what? no potholes? lol
ItsChris 23 Feb, 2018 @ 1:44pm
Ok,I looked but cannot find any on the workshop
ItsChris 9 Feb, 2018 @ 11:25am
Okay then, thanks for the reply
mz  [author] 9 Feb, 2018 @ 11:07am
No there are none in the collection, but thee are plenty on the workshop.
ItsChris 8 Feb, 2018 @ 1:52pm
This is great mate, a big thank you from me. Is there any parking space decals for the roads? I'm sure I can make some but decals are just easier xD
mz  [author] 5 Nov, 2017 @ 5:54am
@Damzen the national road you have found must be Madgemade`s texture as I removed all markings at junctions when I did the textures. Hope you manage to make the changes.
Squash 5 Nov, 2017 @ 5:08am
@mz thanks mz for the reply appreciate it. :-) Yeah the national road is modded as it has dashed lines, but maybe that was from the original UK road mod. Thanks for your reply, i will keep experimenting.
mz  [author] 3 Nov, 2017 @ 1:17pm
@Damzen I dont know, when I did the textures I altered all the files in the original mod (UK Roads by Madgemade) texture folders and didn`t take any notice of which texture went with each road. I am not sure if the national road ( I assume this is the one you are wanting to change) was available when I did the re-texture.
All I can suggest is download the latest UK Roads mod (548703719) and open the textures to find the texture your are looking for.
Squash 1 Nov, 2017 @ 12:50pm
@mz what is the two-way highway (2 lanes) texture name? I can't seem to find it. As i want to add large lines for UK national speed limit roads.

Another mod that crashed my new game!
mz  [author] 2 Jun, 2017 @ 12:22am
The alleys are okay in my game - maybe a theme or mod is affecting the alleys?
Nutronic 1 Jun, 2017 @ 7:12am
The alley is showing up as bright white. Any ideas why?
mz  [author] 11 May, 2017 @ 7:35am
Replace the original Tam & Vanilla folders (548703719) with the ones from this download - this will replace the original mods road textures. Once you have done this unsubscribe from this version or delete the UKRoads.dll in folder 706055509 - this will prevent a conflict with the original mod, which is required.

Please note roads added to the game after this workshop item was published will not be altered and I do not intend to update them as there are other ways now to acheive the same thing such as the Plopable Asphalt mod.
Nutronic 10 May, 2017 @ 10:31am
So which folder do we copy TAM & Vanilla from and which folder do we delete UKRoads.dll?

Them files show in Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\255710\548703719 & Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\255710\706055509
AletheiaAsriel 10 Feb, 2017 @ 6:36am
Nevermind. Found the ID

AletheiaAsriel 10 Feb, 2017 @ 6:29am
Eh? how do I open the folder for the mod. I can find the original UK textures because you told me them but what is the directory for this mod?!
mikeemike1967 20 Jan, 2017 @ 1:34pm
Texture "truck only" please
Rusty Trucker 15 Jan, 2017 @ 8:47am
for some unknown reason conteted colosel frame work with this mod ive used all mods since last updates thanks please fix
Madgemade 15 Jan, 2017 @ 5:27am
@jakeroot mz is right the road arrows are automatically added to the game as decals. This behavior could be stopped by changing the decal. I plan to make this a feture of a "Historic Roads" mod that I have been planing for a while.
jakeroot 28 Dec, 2016 @ 2:43pm
@mz thank you for the timely reply. I feared that may be the case. Glad I know what's up now.
mz  [author] 28 Dec, 2016 @ 2:04am
The arrows are not contained within the texture, As far as I know the arrows are decals that are added automatically by the game. There will be a way to prevent them from drawing but I have no idea how to - sorry I could not be of more help.
jakeroot 27 Dec, 2016 @ 6:48pm
Odd request. Could you toss a little how-to guide to me, demonstrating how I could edit the textures to remove the arrows from the texture? I know most people like the arrows, but I prefer to place my own using the "UK Road Props" set. I don't mind editing the textures but I don't have any idea how to do so.
mz  [author] 2 Dec, 2016 @ 1:00pm
Thanks to the speedy fix from Madgemade, the re-texture is working again.
Rusty Trucker 2 Dec, 2016 @ 5:10am
is this back working now
mz  [author] 1 Dec, 2016 @ 6:14am
I know, but there is nothing I can do as it relies on the original mod "UK Roads" by Madgemade which was broken with the recent disasters update.
Painful Agenda 30 Nov, 2016 @ 7:18am
This mod isn't working with natural disasters as uk roads mod is broken.
Squash 9 Jul, 2016 @ 9:02am
**SOLVED ** - Can't place props on roads?

@Mz thanks MZ, i found it wasn't that... i needed Prop Anachy mod. Anyone else who is experiencing this make sure you have Prop Anachy installed to add the UK props to the roads =)

mz  [author] 7 Jul, 2016 @ 1:06pm
@Damzen - try switching PLT Anarchy on in the options Tab of the settings for the Prop LIne Mod, this should allow you to place a line of props even if there are collisions.
Squash 7 Jul, 2016 @ 8:16am
thanks @Mz, but it isn't the textures or your mod, just general - how do i get your "prop" to apply over the road? The red is the "Not Valid" highlighr you get when you try to place a prop over an existing prop/road/object. Do i have to get another mod. I have anachy, but it isn't allowing me to place your props over the road? Not sure if i need anything else to get it working?
mz  [author] 6 Jul, 2016 @ 11:36am
@Damzen, the only change I made was graphically to the textures, so I don`t think they can affect the game - try UK roads mod with the original textures and see if there is a difference. I have re-installed the game in the last few days and have had problems getting all my usual mods to work together - maybe there has been a game update that is messing with things or just a coincidence. Let me know how you get on.
Squash 5 Jul, 2016 @ 2:45pm
@mz, ok so today i cant seem to add the line props to the roads. It keeps highlighting red indcating collision? I swear i did this before though? Or am i doing this wrong- is it for the plain roads only?
mz  [author] 3 Jul, 2016 @ 11:22am
I have been working on crossing zig-zags, but it is tricky to match the underlying road texture to cover the median line with the central zig-zag - will post to workshop once I sort it. The school markings should be straight forward as they are only at the kerbside - will do them sometime next week.
Ggspikey 3 Jul, 2016 @ 9:48am
Please could you create: zig-zags for crossings and schools, taxi rank box (modular), advanced stop box.
mz  [author] 1 Jul, 2016 @ 10:32am
Brilliant - it`s so annoying when creating a UK themed map, only to have large red fire hydrants appear along the road.
Madgemade 1 Jul, 2016 @ 10:23am
@mz yes you could remove all of that stuff and I plan to redo a lot of it eventually for the uk road mod, for example I will be removing the fire hydrent random infomation sign and replacing the parking meter with uk version etc.
mz  [author] 1 Jul, 2016 @ 10:17am
Do the autoplaced roadsigns use the same code as the road side vanila props (hydrants, boxes etc. )- if so is it possible to remove the roadsode clutter that was shipped with the vanila game?
Madgemade 30 Jun, 2016 @ 2:52am
@mz while technically possible that would be very complex and would involve a lot of modifications to every road type it applied to. At the moment I am addign new roadsigns then I will be looking at getting bus stop text to come up and other writing in the road as this isn't as bad to code as node and segment stuff.
mz  [author] 30 Jun, 2016 @ 1:20am
That would be great - you thinking of something like dropdown`s where you can select the node junction texture, kerb lines etc. for a particular road?
Madgemade 29 Jun, 2016 @ 4:57am
BTW good work on the props, there is in fact a way to code them into the game to be added automatically, this is something I am working on and would mean that some props could just spawn be themselfs.
Squash 25 Jun, 2016 @ 1:26pm
AWesome mod! Well done!! I was saying to the UK Roads author to create some longer lines but he wouldn't. This is a great addition to the existing mod! Now we can customise the roads as we see fit. LOVE IT 10/10.
mz  [author] 25 Jun, 2016 @ 8:49am
Good idea about the lettering, will do them when I have time.
Mohawk 24 Jun, 2016 @ 3:22pm
Ick, I'm having issues again and I don't even know what changed. No matter though, because I thought of an idea and I've asked in the Paradox forums for someone to make a mod that simply makes the zebra crossings invisible - it'll do what I want visually, and be a lot lighter RAM-wise than the whole texture mod :)

Also I want to make a suggestion, if I may! Instead of releasing stancils for road names, why not just do A, B, M, and 0 through 9? That way we can make our own route numbers :P

Also, could you release the double-dash give way markings as one single = mark, for adding to curved junctions? That would be awesome!

Sorry, I'm crap when it comes to making mods myself. I code like a blinded hamster :D
mz  [author] 21 Jun, 2016 @ 1:41pm
Now that you have the UK Roads mod working it should work if you replace the textures in that mods folder with the textures I uploaded - make sure you don`t activate my download in the content manager (as it is not a mod) and restart the game so that the new textures can be loaded.
Mohawk 21 Jun, 2016 @ 8:34am
Yeah, once I worked out that Network Skins was causing the core UK Roads mod to go a bit bananas by itself. Tried refreshing the mod list too by unsubscribing, deleting the content folders in the Workshop folder, and then resubscribing to get new versions. :\
mz  [author] 21 Jun, 2016 @ 6:58am
Before replacing the textures do the UK Roads mod textures work in game - the ones with yellow lines down the sides of the majority of the roads?
Mohawk 21 Jun, 2016 @ 4:14am
The prop graphics are great, unfortunately following your instructions results in a problem in the game; all base game roads are textured normally (with zebra crossings at junctions etc) but roads added by the NeXT mod are uniform plain grey with no texture. Did I do something wrong?

Tried on both MacOS and Windows, same problem :(
Slye_Fox 18 Jun, 2016 @ 12:33pm
Personally, I won't be using this mod, but I will deffinatly make use of the props. nice work.
