I was thinking of adding it to the pack, but with everything I've had going on lately, I haven't found the time to do it.

i dont need interiors. i have a scene build file saved for that. I tried looking on the Gmod workshop but the models i found dont show up in SFM.

I've not seen anymore like these. Though I did find these on the gmod workshop, so you might get lucky and find them over there, unless you've looked already, that is...

Btw Do you know where i could find a Cardassian Cruiser and a Dominion Battleship btw? i wanted to recreate the Dominion war and those are the only ships left that ive been looking for.

I kinda gave up on it, couldn't find a decent model with a decent interior.
I'm not super good at Blender, so building one from scratch is out as well.

Sorry, but until I can come up with something decent, it's been shelved.

Captain, are you still working on the NX 01? Ive been looking for a model of it with an interior for awhile, im planning on remaking the scenes between Archer and Duras but with different characters.

You might want to look up a user named Pundus, he's been making some very nice models of the various Star Trek universe ships.
I'm not 100% certain, but he may have an NX-01 uploaded.

No, the NX-01 was not included in the original pack, I am working on an NX pack for SFM that will include a map of the interior and the crew.
I will post it once I get all the details worked out...

I don't think that they were included in the original pack either, which is why they never made it into this port.
As I recall, Voyager has no hangar doors either...

You might be able to repair this by removing all the files from the second materials folder and placing them in the first materials folder, then delete the second folder.

Did you subscribe to this workshop pack or try porting them from gmod yourself?
The reason that I ask, is because when I ported these over from the original gmod pack, I had to do quite a bit of 'customization' to the files to get them to work right in SFM. It wasn't a simple copy & paste at all.
As you can see from above, I have over 1000 subs and in comparison, very few complaints of issues with them, certainly none like this anyway...

I have checked my 'master files' and my models (which are the same as this pack) work just fine, and if you downloaded these through the workshop, then yours should be fine as well.

The fact that the console states that the missing files are 'double-nested' in two materials folders, tells me that you (or someone with access to your computer and files) have either moved the files incorrectly or edited them incorrectly. The location that they should be in doesn't match what your console is saying.

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you, the weather here is bad and I had to go out in it, took forever...
Anyway, have you done any modifications to the files?
That pic shows SFM looking for them in the completely wrong location for where they should be.
They should be here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SourceFilmmaker\game\workshop\materials\models\apwninthedark's starship pack\alien ships\special

That looks like something is missing...
Open SFM and create a new session, then find the model and select it, but DO NOT spawn it.
Close the model chooser window and show me a screenshot of the console in SFM, that should tell me what needs fixing...

Kind of to late... I have over 500 maps (No joke on that number.. Thats excluding valve maps, friend maps, and auto saves which would hit 600 or more.) which are vmfs.... Some are playable, others are just dev texture, others are like, just I placed a floor and a wall and then got bored... I have so much XD.

@*Hunter* - No offense taken, but I would like to point out that there's a saying that's been around since before I was born, "Haste makes waste". This saying has been around for years for a reason, there's a lot of truth to it.
I can tell you from personal experience that when you get into a hurry, you will miss things, sometimes important things. This leads to stress, and stress leads to high blood pressure, ulcers and even heart attacks. Being in a hurry is not worth the trouble, take it from someone who knows.

@*Hunter* - That's a shame, you can learn a lot about a model and it's requirements by reading the description, this can avoid a lot of confusion later too.
Of course, this only applies to those who actually take the time to write a decent description. Alot of uploads just have the word 'Description' written in there and nothing more, makes knowing if it's worth downloading kinda hard...

Not all people read the description. I look at the ratings, see if it has stars, and if so, I download. And if I have a opinion, I'll state it. If the description concerns me, I'll read it. Nothing more. Nothing less. Nothing In-between.

I'm guessing that you may have to use the $selfillum function on that, if it's not already in there, but again, I'm not sure, I haven't fooled with that aspect much lately...

I've never actually messed with any of the .vtf files except to tweak the AO settings in them as some of the models had a 'transparent' look to them, originally...

Do you have any knowledge on the lit VTF files for the ships? I edited the .vtf texture for the Ent-A's warp nacelles to include the blue streaks on both side of the naclles, but it would seem i'm unable to edit an existing file and i have to create a new file, copypaste the texture then use it as a .vtf, however when i go into SFM and an existing project the texture lighting is incorrect.

I know, Blender is a good tool for the price (free), but I find it's user interface to be a bit "over-complicated"...
Yes, you can customize it, but with all the shortcuts and whatnot, it's kinda hard to know exactly how you would or should customize it... lol

It would probably be much easier to just locate some hi-res textures and replace the originals with them...
