@EVERYONE - Alastor would have updated his mod by now if he wanted to. Alastor gave me permission to continue his work, and I have in Dark Avian Shipsets - Advanced . It's got the same 3 colors, plus 9 more, and has NSC, ISB, & RS and is updated to Adams (1.6.1 - the current game version as I write this) for anyone still interested in Dark Avian Shipsets.

Bug report: as of today (14 march), my red avian Battleship front segment turns into mammal ship when i try to use a XL slot segment.

Not sure how and if it is fixable without breaking my save file.

@Bittersweet - I'm not sure if Alastor plans to continue to support this shipset mod, given the last update was in August. If you want these shipsets, plus support for ship class mods like New Ship Classes, Realistic Ships, & Improved Space Battles, then try my "Advanced" shipset mod (which Alastor gave his blessing for):

Dark Avian Shipsets (Advanced)

That may be the only option you get.

@Alastor - I'm not seeing the compatibility with New Ship Classes & More. It doesn't crash the game sure, but items such as a battlecruiser are showing up with an Avian bow, and stern but mammilian mid sections. And the base black avian ship models are duplicating in appearance about a tech level after NSC.

@Alastor - I don't know when or if you plan to update your original mod here, but there is one thing I need to point out: when I was updating compatibility files originally for my version, I noticed in the gfx files that you didn't have any diffuse tie ins to the fighters, bombers, or droppods. I checked, and I found that the red/green variants here did NOT have red/green fighters, bombers, or droppods. They were all vanilla blue. So, if you do update your mod, you need to add a meshsettings to each of those entries in the gfx file so they are the correct color.

@Alastor - Since you have been absent from the Stellaris mod community for so long, I can only assume that reality as prevented you from updating your mod and it's compatibility.

I have reuploaded your mod, named "Dark Avian Shipsets (Updated)", and updated the compatibility of your work for others to enjoy with other great mods. I put a disclaimer up first and foremost giving you full credit for the mod and stating my sole purpose is to keep your mod as compatible as possible. If you return here and decide that you don't want my updated mod to remain in the workshop, as I stated in my disclaimer, I will immediately remove the mod at your discretion if that's what you want. I just wanted to make sure your excellent work didn't go to waste.

I managed to fix my issue by going into Documents/ParadoxInteractive/Stellaris/mod and deleting every file that didn't start with 'ugc'. So if anyone else has the same problem, that's how you fix it.

@SteRyGogO - It works with 1.0 last time I checked, but since they did the "2.0" update, the .asset files need to be updated for CaptainX3's mod. I don't know if Alastor has done this. I had to due my own manually. It's not "hard", but it takes a bit to explain. Hopefully Alastor can fix this if he hasn't already.

Yes, and I just tried it with no other mods activated. Still doesn't appear in the empire creation screen. 1.2.5 on a Mac.

Ok I ran it from the uploaded workshop version without issues. I notice you said "Frigate" and assuming it's not one you found in an anomaly maybe you are using the New Ship Classes mod.

Now that I think about it I hadn't tested with that mod in the latest version, so that could be it, I'll investigate and fix it later then.

I might also make a purple version as people seem to want that, although I'm hesitant to make too many versions as they fill up the ledger.
One more probably won't hurt though.

When I reupload I guess I'll set the version number to 1.2.5 so it won't claim to be updated if Paradox changes their syntax again.

Well it works on my end, both for 1.2.4 and 1.2.5. I guess I should specify specific versions instead of all 1.2.x versions, it's just that I really wasn't expecting paradox to change the basic syntax in a hotfix.

Does anyone else have issues?

There's this weird thing where the mod I'm using isn't the same file as the uploaded one, but they should be cloned. I'll try using the workshop version later and see if I experience any issues myself.

Paradox changed some of the syntax without writing it in the patch notes. It should work now.

I can confirm, the mod doesn't work with current version of the game. Plenty of errors show up in the logs. Most likely a minor change in the game code is making the mod crash.

Want to tell you that, by checking each mod one by one, this one is the one that made my game crash when starting a new game. (since the new plantoids dlc). No idea why but figured you might wanna know! Shame, cause I love this mod, but right now my game doesn't work with it. D:

@Kenny Unfortunately I haven't managed to make the game highlight your choice when you select a new shipset, it seems rather tricky and it seems similar mods haven't done it either so I can't emulate them.

It is, however, an entirely cosmetic issue. Once you select it the game still registers it.

It adds blue and green engine/light/forcefield choices and makes the mod compatible with the additional ship classes mod.

Thanks for the nice mod. It seems preety cool. There´s only one problem. While I create a new race and I have to choose a ship design, I can see the dark avian ship design icon, but I can´t choose it. When I click on the dark avian ship design icon, nothing happens. Do you have a solution for this? :)
