It's not exactly as low as it was originally, but it still reduces all model detail. The effect is most visible if you set also car detail to low.

The Stig did his benchmark: Low Level of Detail, Lowest Level of Detail and without this mod. In this benchmark, the Stig intentionally keep up with other AI players, of course, to keep as many events (fps) on the screen as possible.

Updated. If graphics quality is too bad after update, check the separate Low Level of detail mod for better graphics.
