You know, I had this exact same idea in my head for the past week. These would make really good swarm drones too.

Why does removing the gyro and then putting it back along with all the exact same settings including its spot on the timer block cause it not to function correctly anymore. it will only move forever and roll a bit. its the one thing thats stumping me. i swear im putting everything back to how it was. either way great little robot. i do like using them alot.

This would be a great thing to put
near one of my ore-mining stations.
If anyone uninvited from an enemy
faction goes over there to try to steal
materials from me this thing will shoot
them on sight!

Re-tested it. It works fine on my side. It will attack enemies in its range. I just spawend a few and, set some of them to Pirate faction and watched them fight.

Can the reset option turn on the antenna? I am having issues reclaiming these, as the radio time is so short. also the top? Arrow does not display and I cannot seem to get it to.
Also when I launch it, does it circle in the same plane I am in? it seems to but I am not sure, as sometimes I find it elsewhere then expected.

Kinda wished this bot worked on planets- Btw swaping its weapons out for the Star wars lazers and making it lighter gives it some planet fuctions tho its a bit dumb and tends to crash

It has ion engines. Somebody tested it on low gravity moon, but it's meant for space only. The name says it all.

@AxeOfKukijevo / Try it! It is made for space primarily and I believe that even small amount of gravity will make its trajectory strange.

@High Ground / Yes, agree about the potential for robots. And also - no need for another ship to deploy them. Just input the coordinates and start he remote and they will deploy themselves! Don't forget to trigger the appropriate action in the Setup menu for autopilot upon arrival if you know how to do this.

This has so much potential, its scary! What we need now is a small block ship that can carry 3 - 4 of these and deploy them like mines along a set course.
