Voron you are a genius!

People!
I think I found out how to add resources to uninhabited planets!
Here is the exapmle of the code: effect orbital_deposit_tile={clear_deposits=yes add_deposit=d_rich_energy_deposit} /it added to the selected planet 2 energy resources
Instead of d_rich_energy_deposit you can use other names of resources which you can find in Stellaris/common/deposit/00_deposit.txt

any chance you can expand this mod to include setting up tiles on planets?
Zinogre 21 Jun, 2017 @ 9:54am
@Taurus84 that only happens when you're in observer mode; if you're playing as an empire, it works fine.

An update would nonetheless be appreciated, considering the addition of Yurantic crystals.
Dimensional_Horror 15 May, 2017 @ 9:51am
Could you please update for version 1.6? This mod does not work for me anymore... when I have a planet activated and run the command from the console it adds random resources as deposit or it adds none at all... there is no pop up menu anymore.
Rayki 15 Apr, 2017 @ 6:52pm
Please update this mod dude, it's as easy as copying the code over, no changes required, it all still works perfectly fine, just for the sake of not getting that stupid "are you sure.." prompt. Not everyone has the ability to pull your mod apart and use the code like I did just to stop that really annoying box comming up. Seriously man it'll take like 10 minutes...
Peter34 6 Apr, 2017 @ 8:14pm
This mod still worked fine in 1.4, and I imagine it'll work in 1.5 as well. At least with common resource types. I mean, at some point in 1.2 or 1.3 or 1.4, Alien Pets were changed from a Celestial Body resource to a Planet Tile resource. So I imagine if the mod isn't updated for this, then you can't use it unless you know what not to do.
Kaymett 14 Feb, 2017 @ 10:39pm
Update this mod for v1.4 please
Rolhn 23 Dec, 2016 @ 12:35pm
So can we get an eta on this mod being updated to its current state?
ratsratsratsratsratsratsratsrats 20 Nov, 2016 @ 4:38pm
Sorry if this is hard/annoying, as I know this works for 1.3 but can you make it say it say it works?
terror.and.love 19 Nov, 2016 @ 8:13am
A very useful mod. Really appreciate it.
Peter34 3 Nov, 2016 @ 7:37pm
Thanks for updating this mod to enable the creation of "combined" deposits (as well as deposits of +5 or more). The mod works as it is for 1.3.1, but I am a bit concerned about it still being possible to add Betharian Stone to celestial bodies, since it's now a colony surface resource (same with Alien Pets). That could cause all sorts of bugs in 1.3 if people try to add those.
Th3 Wu1f 5 Sep, 2016 @ 7:18pm
what about all the new custom deposits from other mods although it would be better if yoour home planet started devoid of all accept for the plantery goverment, biodome, energy station & mineral mine so that you can have all vanilla & new custom deposits but are extremly rich rather than no larger than 8 & the extreme rarity of the new custom deposits, anyway think about:)

The new update should address the issues people had been having and fix a bug that could have caused some errors. The way the event currently works is that it still will clear all current orbital deposits on a celestial body when it is triggered. Unfortunately, this is necessary.

However, the event will no longer automatically exit after choosing one deposit. Instead, you will be redirected back to the main menu, where you can add more deposits or exit the event from there. You can still only build one type of station though, so you can't, for example, put a physics deposit and a mineral deposit on the same celestial body and expect to harvest both of them.

Effectively, these changes allow you to add multiple deposits of any type in any combination you want. As a reminder, all orbital deposits currently present will be removed when the event is triggered. I can't get around this, but you can easily add them right back.
Cheikar  [author] 17 Aug, 2016 @ 11:37pm
@Rudolph Again, sorry about the delay! Combination deposits will be easy to add. Expect an update within 1-2 days.

@blockschip It allows you to do both. You can select both the type of deposit you want (mineral, energy, one of the researches, or strategic) and the size of the deposit (they range from 1 to 4 in size). These are the sizes allowed by the base game. As stated in the description, I'd rather not modify the game's deposits file as this could cause compatibility issues with other mods and future patches that alter this file. If you want more resources than that (greedy greedy you :P), see my response to Peter34.
Cheikar  [author] 17 Aug, 2016 @ 11:35pm
@Peter34 You are correct in thinking that this mod overrides what is previously there every time it is used. This is an unfortunate side effect of the null deposit. Weird things happen when you try to add deposits on top of it. However, I believe I have a solution. I had been clearing the orbital deposit tile every time the event was triggered to prevent this conflict. I think I can modify it so that it only clears it if it has the null deposit. This would allow you to "stack" deposits using this tool. e.g. if you want 8 minerals on one celestial body, you can add 2 immense mineral deposits on top of each other. There is one potential downside. If the user adds two conflicting deposits (e.g. a physics deposit and an energy deposit which are collected by different types of stations), I don't know how the game will handle it.

Hello all, apologies for the recent inactivity on this mod. I hope you have not given up on it. I was busy with school and then I was on vacation without cell service or wifi for a couple weeks. Expect an update within the next day or two that will hopefully address as many of your concerns as possible.
Vulom 20 Jul, 2016 @ 3:10pm
Does it allow me to choose the amount of a certain resource or just what type?
Rudolph 9 Jul, 2016 @ 3:09pm
Is there any ETA on the combination deposits? Asking because I think that would make this mod the best addition.
Peter34 8 Jul, 2016 @ 6:03pm
Sometimes celestial bodies contain multiple resources, like both Minerals and Energy from the same Planet, Moon or Asteroid, or both Society and Physics, but this mod seems to override what was previously there every time it is used, so that it is impossible to make a dual-resource or triple-resource deposit.
Arnil 1 Jul, 2016 @ 2:13pm
Thanks man :)

I tested using several different mods that use wildcard in the supported version and I got 0 CTDs. It appears this has been fixed. If you do get a CTD and you think it is because of my mod, please let me know.
Cheikar  [author] 30 Jun, 2016 @ 8:18am
@Blossom Ehh kind of, but it's different. I'll PM you later with pointers so I don't clutter up this space.

@Nergui Thanks! I didn't set it as 1.2.* initially as I had heard that using a wildcard in the supported version caused (or at least used to cause) CTDs. I hope they've fixed that by now so I've changed it.
Nergui 30 Jun, 2016 @ 6:20am
New patch made this mod out of date. It it would help, you could to change this line thusly

supported_version="1.2.*"
Chilled Legumes 29 Jun, 2016 @ 10:33am
I'm looking to figure out how to specify deposits for system initializers, can the same method used in your mod work for this?
Cheikar  [author] 28 Jun, 2016 @ 8:02pm
Okay, it should work flawlessly with Asimov now. I don't exactly know what the issue was as none of the files conflicted with anything Asimov changed, but updating the supported version in the mod file seemed to fix everything. If someone notices a problem, please let me know so I can address it! :)
Cheikar  [author] 28 Jun, 2016 @ 7:39pm
@thorman123456789 Yes, this mod can add strategic resource deposits. They are accompanied by a certain amount of basic resources (dependent on the specific strategic resource) as this is the way deposits work in-game and I'd rather not change 00_deposits.txt IF I don't have to. I will if there is popular demand for it. Also, I think it's kind of nice. Who wouldn't want an extra 3 minerals with their betharian stone?

@big_love_india Thank you for bringing this to my attention! This is an issue with the localisation that must have been caused by Asimov. I will fix this right now as that pretty much makes the mod unusable.
Blorgophile 28 Jun, 2016 @ 9:17am
Ok, got it. It's working with Asimov and I like it! Sadly it's a bit confusing because resources are not named anymore (just a,b,c..) But in works. Thanx p
thorman123456789 27 Jun, 2016 @ 6:56pm
can this add special resources or no?
