DeathWish's comments describe my feelings best.

Semi-blindrun (at least 4 years since I've played, took a break starting from late 2019)

Would serve as a great introductory chamber to the concept of shooting portals through multiple "barriers", active or not, and "preplacement" to newcomers.

Difficulty: 2/10
Design: 10/10
Enjoyed: 7.5/10

It is indeed, "A Nice Little Puzzle."

Oh, very clever solution! I like this one.
Pinsplash 28 Apr, 2019 @ 8:12pm
i swear when people say "dont overthink it" you forcibly overthink it

This reminds me of one i made called red herring. This does have a better design so well done.

Bastard! :D How did you trick me into outsmarting myself?

Don't worry, I already kicked myself after I figured it out ...... Thanks for making these great puzzles!

@╠FakerBaker╣ That's my design philosophy so you should try out my others too - glad you liked it! :)
FakerBaker 8 Jul, 2017 @ 2:26am
Really nice and unique concept! I like chambers where it seems simple and average at the start, but it then introduces a new concept. Keep up the work!
Demon Arisen  [author] 2 Apr, 2017 @ 3:45pm
@Gender neutral pirate Totally agree! Some find this trivial, while others asked for a walkthrough ;)
MmmmmmhHHHhhhhhhmmmm 2 Apr, 2017 @ 3:58am
I'd say this is medium difficulty to the average player that isn't used to the mechanics. I also think that it's the kind of map where you're either bound to get it in just a couple of minutes, or get stuck for an hour.

Your A Nice Little Puzzle inspired me to make Proxy which turned out to be not such a nice little puzzle :( But at least you have a nice, however small, puzzle :)
Demon Arisen  [author] 14 Mar, 2017 @ 12:31pm
@Prop_Dynamicish Thank you! :)
asd417 14 Mar, 2017 @ 6:47am
Ha! I see how some testers can get stuck. Really 'pleasent' to play through. Nice, little and easy.
GasFury 19 Feb, 2017 @ 6:27am
Indeed, a nice little puzzle

Here's the video i did from this map: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kSUuzJ-4r-0
DeathWish808 4 Feb, 2017 @ 12:50pm
Exactly. It's why I always give my perception of the difficulty and add "depending on your experience".
Demon Arisen  [author] 4 Feb, 2017 @ 12:42pm
@DeathWish808 Yeah it's basically supposed to be an entry-level chamber which makes you think in slightly different ways to the maps in the campaign. Believe it or not though I've actually got a decent number of comments on my easier chambers such as this and Divided saying they really struggled with it - just goes to show that difficulty is all a matter of perspective :P
DeathWish808 4 Feb, 2017 @ 12:36pm
Oh, not at all. Like I said, I feel like it's a great intro chamber if you had another one that was somewhere around your normal difficulty added to it.

Basically, it just feels incomplete (for me). I can see this being perfect for beginner players who haven't finished the single player campaign.
Demon Arisen  [author] 4 Feb, 2017 @ 12:31pm
@DeathWish808 Yeah it's designed to be a very easy, small puzzle (hence the title) - it's a good map to ease people into my way of thinking, which is why it's placed at the start of my "Best Of" collection. Unfortunately, collections rarely seem to subscribe in order so I can see why it might feel a bit disappointing. Do you think I should remove it from the collection?
DeathWish808 4 Feb, 2017 @ 12:03pm
This was a bit too simple. Feels like an intro room to a "real" puzzle.

Nice Puzzles, I got it in less than 1 minute...
Demon Arisen  [author] 5 Dec, 2016 @ 4:04pm
@bullfrog Thanks very much for playing mate, glad you've been enjoying my puzzles! :D
bullfrog 5 Dec, 2016 @ 4:02pm
Yep, I enjoyed that. I thought I was gonna walk it, but it took me longer than it should have done, so I guess I'm a "more casual player" :steamhappy:. Time for sleep, then on to your next one in the morning - cheers
Demon Arisen  [author] 31 Oct, 2016 @ 7:15am
@wildgoosespeeder I never said I was a pro, did I? I called you a pro, because you are relative to most people.
wildgoosespeeder 27 Oct, 2016 @ 6:30pm
@Demon Arisen
Pro puzzles are like ones made by toncica or josepezdj. Near and Lawliet are borderline pro maps. Mevious, Azorae, TuRboz, and even you are medium on average.
Demon Arisen  [author] 27 Oct, 2016 @ 4:09pm
@wildgoosespeeder Thanks for the feedback. This test is very easy, hence the name! But enough people got stuck on it that I had to make a walkthrough! This test isn't designed for pros like you, but for more casual players! :) Thanks for playing anyway.
wildgoosespeeder 23 Oct, 2016 @ 10:06pm
Yeah, way too easy. I think I have seen tests like this before.
zigzagtenniscoe 27 Aug, 2016 @ 1:47pm
Very simple, took me less then 2 minutes, but still clever as always! I wondered how to get a portal in the exit room but still have the laser opening the door, then I realized I had to activate the catcher to disable the fizzler, shoot a portal from the other side of the disabled fizzler into that exit room, go through the portal and make sure it's in the opposite direction of the catcher that opens the door, then from within the exit room shoot the laser through to open the door. Simple yet clever.. I like these types of puzzles when I'm playing through a lot of them in a row, they act as breaks from the busier more challenging puzzles. Thanks and keep it up :)
The Sojourner 21 Aug, 2016 @ 1:58pm
Indeed a nice little portal preservation puzzle. Very simple yet still enjoyable :p2cube: Thanks for creating.
RedSilencer 22 Jul, 2016 @ 5:34pm
Haven't played it yet, but it looks like a classic 4 quadrant "pillar" puzzle similar to Sectors , Some Logic Required , and Mind The Gap .
PixelPerfect 18 Jul, 2016 @ 2:22pm
Cool! Check out my workshop. I watched your series How to Make Great Test Chambers, and it made me think of some satisfying puzzles. Coments are recommended! :)
Demon Arisen  [author] 14 Jul, 2016 @ 2:11am
@Almisuifre Thank you! :) That's a good idea, or maybe as an introductory test for new players of my chambers.
Almisuifre 13 Jul, 2016 @ 5:11am
Very easy but smart, I think it's a nice puzzle to introduce Portal game to new players.
Petutski 4 Jul, 2016 @ 3:46pm
Very nice logical thinking with portals map. Thanks!

Thank you!
Demon Arisen  [author] 3 Jul, 2016 @ 12:42pm
Gosh, people really are getting stuck with this one, I'll make a walkthrought video!
flare 3 Jul, 2016 @ 12:36pm
omg i cant do it... ive tried for like an hour ive looked at all the comments, i can get the door open but i cant get to it?
Demon Arisen  [author] 3 Jul, 2016 @ 12:25pm
@Nesti Thanks! It's hard for me to determine the difficulty of my own puzzles, since I already know the solution, but I reckoned this was easier than my usual chambers! :P
Nalbo 3 Jul, 2016 @ 10:49am
It took like 5 minutes to solve it, it's challenging and fun. The difficulity should be easy-medium.
Demon Arisen  [author] 3 Jul, 2016 @ 10:34am
@TrackManiac If by fence you mean the grating, maybe you don't need to keep the laser supporting portal ;)
Tom Spander 3 Jul, 2016 @ 8:00am
I feel like I'm incredibly stupid but I can't figure out how to get past the fence while keeping the laser-supporting portal. Please help :(
Turrets Turret 3 Jul, 2016 @ 7:27am
Easy but very nice indeed!
Huub900 2 Jul, 2016 @ 5:47pm
Great short puzzle. Not that easy ;)
i smell like uranium 2 2 Jul, 2016 @ 9:17am

Demon Arisen  [author] 2 Jul, 2016 @ 9:16am
@Thomas the weed train Think about what you need to do to and where you need to be in order to complete the puzzle and work backwards from there! :)
