Can't you just replace the gun shot with only it's model for a few secs and then turn into a pickable one also can't you just command npcs to not pick up gun for a few secs like the how the citizen does

why not just make this work with sandbox and make it require a mod that makes you manually pick up weapons or something of that nature

@Tay - I'd like to do that, but there are some complications that would make that more difficult than it sounds on the surface. In DarkRP when you drop a gun, that gun can then only be picked up by pressing your "use" key on it. In Sandbox, weapons are picked up just by touching them. This is because DarkRP replaces dropped weapon behavior with its own solution. If you shot the weapon out of someone's hands in Sandbox, they would instantly pick it back up by immediately touching it. I would have to create my own version of DarkRP's dropped weapon replacement and I'll be honest with you: I'm too lazy right now to do that.

@TheOpOlli When weapons drop in DarkRP they aren't actually weapons. They're something that looks like a weapon and when you press E on it it gives you the weapon, but it isn't actually a weapon. Sandbox doesn't have that so I would have to make it from scratch and I don't really want to right now. I may add something like that in the future, though

@Mr.Magina Dr.Meloncio That's more or less correct. If you want it to drop any time they're hit, set it to 0. At 1 there's still a small chance they wouldn't drop it.

@BOB THE FROG - So in Sandbox weapons are picked up by stepping onto them. You can spawn them from the spawn menu or the creator tool and pick them up instantly. DarkRP has its own custom version of guns on the ground that require you to press E on them to pick them up. This addon makes use of DarkRP's weapons because if I just used the default ones you would pick up your own gun the moment you dropped it because you'd be standing on it.
