in order to become hyper for those of you who don't know, you can redo the super transformation while super, and then you can become hyper sonic.

Honestly, I only made this hack to prove a point to another hacker. Classic Heroes already has Hyper Sonic in the Sonic 2 zones.

There are a bunch of disassembly projects on GitHub. I just found the code for Super Sonic and Hyper Sonic in the disassemblies of their games, and ported them to Sonic 1.

I already went over that in an old comment. No: if adding Super/Hyper Sonic meant adding all of Sonic's base abilities, then I'd also have to add the Insta-Shield, the S&K-style ducking, remove the speed cap, etc., and by that point, this wouldn't be WhateverSonic in Sonic 1, it'd be Sonic Classic Heroes without the heroes.

Yeah. For the re-release, it was nice they added Tails, Knuckles, a new engine, and super forms...but the controls are horrible, it's kinda glitchy, and I don't like the music remixes. But anyway, thanks. Now I can get my super forms on the Steam version.

The hyper Sonic is cool. But a seventh special stage, as well as Super Sonic was added in the 2013 re-release, so we already have Super Sonic in Sonic 1. But I guess it's good for the people who don't have the 2013 re-release(the re-release is only for IOS and android)

I'm never adding the Spin Dash. I didn't add the Insta-Shield, I didn't remove the speed cap, this is meant to be Sonic 1. Just with Super/Hyper Sonic.

This hack is really great. I like how you can turn super/hyper from the start and you do not have to collect 7 emeralds. I also like how you can also choose what super/invincibility music you want and if you don't want any, it just speeds the zone music up, kinda like Sonic 3 Complete.
