I'm having a thought here barbosa, What say ye to using it similarly to the eyelander, But instead of heads it collects, It collects souls. At full souls (maybe 6 or so) The demo shouts your "RELEASE THE KRAKEN" And gets crits etc. Just something I was thinking about.

Imo it should have alt-fire "parry", which would block a melee attack and stun your opponent. (replaces charge if a shield is equipped)
The parry-ability would also have charge-time like the shield has. (charge time affecting items affect this value instead of the shield's charge)
Also the text "PARRY!" would appear in "CRITICAL HIT!"-style fashion above demo's head.

some suggestions for the stats:
pros:
10% faster fire rate
critical hit on third consecutive hit (no "time-limit" between the hits like when using the gunslinger, you just have to hit 3 times in a row)
ability to parry incoming enemy melee attacks causing razorback-like effect

cons:
25% more damage from melee sources while active
no random crits
cannot charge

misc:
shout RELEASE THE KRAKEN! on taunt
?: able to duel other demomen using the sword for insta-kills on third hit (first 2 hits cause 1 damage), after either hitting the other even once, neither of the duelists can withdraw their swords until either has died

FUUU I hate it when people get a jump on an idea i had. But i like it when people actually do it and do it well. I had considered making a cutlass for the demo (cause the pirate set needs a sword IMO) so i thought "Why not call it the 'Celtic Cutlass'?" well ya done well on it mate.
