For the people complaining in the comments. You literally do not have to download this mod. It's just something there for someone who Does want it.

it's about damn time this happened. i never got how you could carry hundreds of thousands of gold coins and not feel any weight from that. seriously, it's one of the heaviest elements known to man...
Gurbo 23 Apr, 2016 @ 8:52pm
why would you and your tons of money to have weight slowing you down?
Zersetzung 27 Jan, 2016 @ 5:54pm
Why would you get this mod without something like bank notes. Daggerfall had this in the game but to conteract it you could carry around bank notes with you and get a bank note for a 1% fee
ChocolaSins 2 Jan, 2016 @ 4:38am
and accualy 100 coins is 10 weight not one 10 coins is one weight
ScaleSkin 28 Oct, 2015 @ 10:38am
It's not helpful, it's realistic. A bit... Some players prefer that and personally this idea deserves +rep.

Gryphone 8 Jun, 2015 @ 3:26pm
you do realize if you put the game to hard or more gold has weight right?
Hestral 14 Nov, 2014 @ 1:55am
I would always scratch my head on how I could carry 10,000 gold and be fine but over encumbered by Health and Magic potions, thanks for this mod.
Vinnie Mack 7 Oct, 2014 @ 9:36pm
Anyone who has collected coins in a jar know they have weight. If one is going for an immersive playthrough, this is a necessity.

<Grammer nazi!!
Some people would like weighted gold because it can go well with other mods, such as the banking mod I have. So, I'm getting it :D
DoctorPC 28 Apr, 2014 @ 7:23am

brady 3 Apr, 2014 @ 6:33pm

Cool I'll try it !!! Thanks for Modding:)

I'd love to see the currency in this game reworked to feature more than just gold. I like World of Warcraft's system of using copper, silver and gold - that's actually more realistic than just using gold. Plus, as it is now, gold has way too little value. In the real world, you would never pay someone hundreds of solid gold coins for some skill training! The game treats gold like some modern fiat currency. Better to have copper or silver coinage for that!

could you make the different coin idea that would be sweet if possible.

@anandamaypax
I was confused at first too, when I loaded the mod for the first time, but, after some testing, I confirmed it was 0.01 per gold coin. I could not, however, get it to display as such in-game. To be honest I'm surprised no-one pointed that out earlier. XD

You say gold weighs 1 per 100, yet in the pic we see gold weight as 0.1 i.e., 1 per 10. Please explain. Great concept btw.

Y U MAKE GOLD WEIGH THINGS? :/ xD
leto85 16 Dec, 2012 @ 10:40am
@gavb120: Not sure if it is possible, because I've never tested it before, but can't you just put money into the inventory of a follower? That way you can carry double the amount of money. Ask it back when you are at the steward you want to buy a house from.
Other than that: you also could enchant an outfit that increases your Carrying Capacity and stamina regen, for incase you have a mod installed that links these two.

Steed Stone, of course can help you out as well.
Or use all your houses as personal banks where you store a few 10.000 septims for when you need them.
gavb120 27 Nov, 2012 @ 6:13am
does what it says on the tin. Bit annoying that you have to be tottally naked if you want to buy a house though. Is it possible to introduce a "note" to reduce weight?
Cazriel 26 Aug, 2012 @ 10:12pm
Wow this seems like such a great idea. I cant wait to login and.... *Dovahkiin immediately crushed under his massive wallet, dies, the world is consumed by Alduin, the end*
Mako-chan 15 Jul, 2012 @ 3:26pm
i would be more worried about gold than dragon scales and bones
Wildcard 11 Jul, 2012 @ 1:10pm
Brilliant mod.
It may be a drag-down for those who worry about weight, although it does make sense for coin to weigh something. After all, it's gold. lol
TheDeadDude 4 Jul, 2012 @ 11:08pm
This is cool but i honestly hate weighing myself down so i'm unlikely to use it but the idea is fantastic for realism and immersion, +!.
MartyMcMeme 29 Jun, 2012 @ 9:24am
stupid
President of Nauru 27 Jun, 2012 @ 10:09am
fallout did that too, but they made it have weight in "hardcore mode" along with hunger thirst and sleep
Michael_Lewandowski 14 May, 2012 @ 8:57am
Add certificates and I'll subscribe, very cool concept though.
FireFangs 13 May, 2012 @ 10:30am
I understand the idea, though I'm unlikely to use it.
However, you forgot the base of any RPG/adventure game! Everybody know there is a mule following you just behind the camera!
StefO 13 May, 2012 @ 8:18am
Great concept, I'm trying this one out. Funny as I use the Bandoliers to add capacity then I grab a mod adding weight to septims hahahahha.
