I tried to get some of the symbol incorporated into the base of the handle. It should look somewhat like a bird's head and beak. I didnt like the big rounded thing that the other weapons have. I wanted this one to be more sleak and subtle.
help "Nightingale Shiv" worked for me
I do find it a compliment!
I hope you find it a compleiment.
The more links to your mod the better ;)

I have not created one. Just the dagger. Feel free to make one, though.
1. Console command to skip to the next objective
2. Try running in to him, see if he moves after that (This usually works when people in Fallout/Skyrim just stops moving, you run and bump into them)
If he would like to make a reversed version, he is more than welcome to do so. :)
I have not created any other weapons.
Personally, I dont really like the nightingale sigils. I did, however, incorporate the bird's head into the hilt of the dagger.
That is pretty strange. Glad it is working now though.
in order to make any upgraded version of the shiv, you need to have the previous version as it is required as an ingredient.
this is not an oversight. it was an attempt to provide a weapon that scaled with player level. as you level, more upgrade recipes will become available.
i just checked on my character and it works fine.
It is a standalone weapon created with the pre-Dawnguard modding kit. It 'should' be compatible, since it is only an additional item that does not depend on anything in Dawnguard, but I haven't tested it.
