there is a command to remove the portal preview from behind walls. It adds a little to the confusion. Also i would recommend some kind of "look at" trigger for some of the portals. If you go through some backwards the change is painfully obvious. It could also add another level to the puzzle if you have to walk backwards to prevent part of the portal from changing on you.
