For those not seeing the slider.
On the Launcher bottom right click Mods.
Select the mod and launch. You will then see the slider in game.

ok, well, this mod is dead or doesn't work in October of 2024... I've subscribed to the mod. I've restarted my game. the difficulty slider does NOT appear in gameplay options. unless you can tell me what I'm doing wrong, your mod doesn't work anymore.

Players patch gets buggy this mod doesn't cause any issues.
Many missions 0.9 makes things a lot easier.

REMINDER: unlike the players patch slider, in this mod the option is only available once your in the mission. It will stay at that setting for all missoins started after the difficulty is adjusted.

Go to settings AFTER you start the mission. Adjust slider, exit the mission, restart mission.

@NoOne , author of this mod - thank you , the Players Patch was crashing for me and this one works. The Players Patch recommended 0.6 for the HW1 campaign, reading these posts it seems like the right number to set it. Would you say 0.6 is close to the original? Thanks for making this, without this specific mod I wouldn't be able to use level scaling, and already went in-game options (not main menu) , set it, restarted, with no problems.

Confirmed. This is the only mod that really can lower the difficulity. Players Patch is crap.

Players patch causes game to crash every time during mission 7. Was hoping I could use this mod to bypass it, but this mod doesn't work (as in no option to adjust scaling) when activated. No good.

Does not work for me. No new menu voice appear after the subscription. Even after the restart of the game or of the mission.

I played entire HW1 and HW2 with it and it worked well. FYI for others. Start game with this mod, set scaling in game/mission. Turn the game off and load with 2.3v payers patch. Game will keep the scaling and you will also have working corvettes(they are broken in original)

really hate the original game difficulties, as hard as shit, I just want to play through the game and experience the whole story, but remastered edition haven't gave the players to adjust difficulties so fvcking stupid! really appreciate this mod, thx bro :)

@ZEnON - See the instructions for the 2.3 Players Patch, you need to select a campaign checkbox.

came back to replay hwr 1/2 before 3 hits.. the mod just removed the campaign now.. not working at all. same issue with 2.3 players patch.. no campaign.. :(

Crash on HWR2 mission 9, when the cruisers and destroyer waves show up. Turning off the mod fixed the issue.

@kal Skirata when you are in the mod menu you must check the boxes on the side that say HW1 Campaign or HW@ campaign. Then when you load up your game the single player should be there

@Defender1 - In this mod is the option only in the ingame menu. This mod is still functional, but the improved and recommended version is included in the Players Patch 2.3 . Thanks to @Cloaked!

Yes, but you must first choose 2.3 Patch mod and click Select, then choose this mod and click Select. So in the "SELECTED MODS" window will be 2.3 Patch at row 1 and this mod at row 2. Then you can (with proper HW1 or HW2 checkbox) click Launch. This is because the author of the 2.3 Patch is incorporating this mod into it and the current version of 2.3 Patch already has all preparations but not yet connected to the menu. Once this mode will be included in the 2.3 Patch, I will modify the description of this mod.

@Cloaked - Vice versa, i would be honored. Actually, I was going to ask you for this soon, with including a solution to a mission 7 vanilla bug (no added reinforcements) and few other things, which I think belongs more to the patch than to this mod. For this few things i need few day or week more to testing, and then i ask nicely you for incorporating them or proposing solutions.
However, the mod alone is fully functional at this time without any known errors and you can use it now like it is.

Linking the difficulty value with config file in mod is probably stupid easy and you find better/pro way, especially if you plan to add more described options to the menu, which is definitely a great idea. FYI in main options menu is TDS slider original bug but you probably know it.

If I can help or explain something in mod (outside the UI, where is better ask Dwarfinator), let me know here or at the GBX Forum.

Besides balance and bug fixes, I'd like to add a few basic gameplay options to the game:
* A 'Vast' unit cap option that's double the 'Huge' limit.
* Camera Pan Speed scalar
* Camera Max Zoom scalar
* Campaign Difficulty scalar

Try it and tell me where you are stuck or have a problem. And mod work with 2.1 vanila game and also with beta 2.205.

To salvaging, try diferent ways, dont give up. I try it quick today and is working as always. Yes, sometimes it can be difficult and frustrating. Try bait/decoy and run away method with one salvagevett instead for interceptors, and while enemy ship focus to it on escaping/run away, use others salvagevetts.

Also, the slider bars dont appear ingame, and yes, I follwed all the steps from your previous comments over the time that you have publishhed this mod, done all the steps, no slider bars, do I have to put my game into the beta branch for this mod to work, or could you mmaybe post a quick video tutorial?

So here is what happens, I have two destroyers already out and engaging the enemy fleet, as soon as one of my salvage corvettes leaves my mothership though, every enemy unit immediattely changes targets from the destroyers to my corvets, even if there are nowhere near the range

@Greyed out - Unfortunately no. Try to distract attention with another ship, the Salvage vette must not be the first ship which is seen by enemy ship. Try bait/decoy and run away with Interceptors, while enemy ship focus to interceptor on escaping/run away, use salvage vetts, the best is from behind and from above/below. Use enough Repair vettes AND USE the Pause to give orders. Usually it works, but sometimes it's hard and frustrating. Salvaging is art and fun :-) dont give up.

can you use this mod to make Salvage Corvettes not be the top prioraty for all ships? Is one of the worst problems I have with this game is that the ship that can turn the tide of a battle if you correctly is suddenly attacked by every enemy unit in the game even if there are three destroyers right next to it

Sir Robin, When you select the mod to use in the launcher. At the left side are teo check boxes for HW campaigns. You have to check the box to mod the campaign.
