When you launch the game through Steam you have the option to launch the editor instead. If not, try reinstalling the whole program, or launch the editor manually through the games files (I think you can do that anyway)
I'm just trying to be as honest as possible. Maybe disdain implies more of a negative feeling than I mean, but I feel really "ugh" towards them. It's irrational but it's how I feel, I'll definitely try to be less mardy in future
I used to wonder the exact same thing before I put stuff up on the workshop.
Basically when you've spent a long time making something, you can't help but feel disdain for people that don't appreciate it for what it is. Sounds harsh but that's honestly what it's like when you get people asking "why not make it into a mission" or "how do I use editor", especially when I've explained this over and over again in the comments on every single map that I've posted.
And is it easier for me to tell them? It takes 5 minutes to search YouTube for GEM Editor Tutorial and learn how to get a map running, and that's without waiting for me to resond. At least I respond to people's comments and don't leave them in the dark, which is what a LOT of content creators do.
I do understand what you mean though
Making it a mission is a lot more difficult and negates all the customization options that are so plentiful in the GEM editor. If you really want to play this then watch a YouTube video on how to use the GEM editor it's not that hard at all.
there's youtube tutorials on how to use the editor if you can't figure it out
( I have it in editor but nothing happens. Only weird trenches without soldiers.)
"A map for the EDITOR."
Launch the Editor by selecting it in the launch screen/options thing when you run the game, in the very top right corner there's a button, click on that to open a menu which should let you load up TheSomme. Press F3 and do the same thing for the mission
i think it was because i had the real war DLC on cause i used this map befor an it worked fine with out the DLC on
yeah a verdun map would be awesome alone but i also remember hearing it had a fort called verdun as well or that could have been a town i forget but i remember its a weird area
Try reinstalling the game and try again
@SuperSayan68 meme
What version of BoE do you have? I think that some versions of the game come without the editor, and you have to buy a seperate DLC in order to get it
No problem famm
Use the numpad numbers to change teams (British are grey, Germans are red (I think, can't remember)). The team you're controlling will be shown in the top left by a little square showing that colour.
Make sure you start the scenario with the button at the bottom right corner while using the map in editor.
I've already explained that to a different person. Just look through the comments and you'll find it.
Just move them. idk how to make triggers and stuff
