That is the maxium amount allowed by the game engine. Any more cities and the compiler will run out of memory.

This question might be moronic, but if you have that many cities in the game, does the chance of getting a "wilderness" mission drop?

More Cities was updated to work properly, but this one has the issue of spawning everything in the exact same location within a region.

Just curious -- is this one working with LW2? As of LW1.1, the "More Cities" mod causes missions for certain areas to show up in the middle of the ocean.

This one hold 1000 more cities, along with continent, country and population details for each.
You don't need to modify the localization files either.
Apart those, yes it is the same.

Had something similar to mafia_corporation on a "messing about" save, one I'd got through Gatecrasher and maybe one other mission.

Anyway, that save was using RealityMachina's More Cities mod. Deactivated that mod, activated this one.

On the Geoscape there were only Points Of Interest for scanning, the Avenger and a Council Mission maker. All regions (and links) had gone. I was -25 supplies income (as my home region was no more).

Started up a new game with this mod. Worked fine.

Guess this just needs a warning not to swap this mod for RealityMachina's in a running game. I'd imagine adding this mod to a game which never had More Cities loaded would be fine.

@Pendra37: How would I know if it does not work, if I were to try what you suggest? Would the game simply crash, or would I just only be able to notice by names of cities from a certain mod not appearing or maybe no city-names at all? Thanks for an answer in advance. ^^"

I looked around and all the other mods that implement cities mainly add flags only. If you try to load this mod as the last, it may work.

@arkhangel I actually read the book that led up to the game before release, and according to it, the aliens after winning the war DISMANTLED all the major cities and landmarks, so as to remove any cultural references that the population could draw from. So, major landmarks such as Big Ben, the Sydney Opera House, the Pyramids, etc., were replaced with their ADVENT cities.

I would call that a really odd behaviour. The mod does nothing that affects the geoscape UI in such a way. All it can do is to update the position of the mission sites slightly.

i just uncheck 5 Mods (the ones that add cities and maps), unblind the mods that wern't in use, still the same problem

just try your mod, here is my problem, after install it i have no cities, no continent bonus, no radio tower, the whole map isn't divided per continent, nothing, not even the option to go back to the base to scan for intel, the only thing that shows up in the entire map is the black market and one avatar Project, maybe a conflict with other mod? thanks anyway

I really don't think so. It overrides the entire class. However, it does everything RalityMachina's MoreCities does. I kept his city locator part but replaced the cities themselves.

it's pretty likely a fair number of those cities had their populations completely wiped out, you know. this why you can find ruined buildings, or have the Avenger landed outside the ruins of a city.
