@Dark, you just set back the cause of science by three centuries. I punch those numbers into my calculator, it makes a sad face.

I played it and i'm a boy.

I'm very happy you enjoyed that! :D Unfortunately, this is probably the best map I have...

Took a bit of figuring out at first, but a lot of fun once i'd got it. Nice use of puzzle elements, as opposed to the usual rapid fire flinging (which i'm...not so great at). Look forward to playing more of your work!

Do i need special tricks? Could someone post an explanation?

Thank you all for your concerns about my maps finding an audience. :D
However, I am determined to make this an example that just because it's for girls doesn't mean it's weak! And if people don't realize that, it's only their loss!

If you want, you can recommend my maps to other players and let them know how playable they are. :)

The puzzle was interesting, short, and pleasing. As stated before the name might be detering possible players.

Great puzzle, but i do agree with Timken: if you had chosen a different name it would probably have a bigger audience.

Silly: I appreciate that you're choosing a name in the context of a game, but you do have to remember that these names are read in the broader context and hence interpreted in that vein. Highlighting gender specificity could be interpreted by some as gender bias, or even a sideways commentary on girls and/or boys. You're obviously free to name your maps as you like and mine is but one opinion amongst millions... I just think you de-value the obvious quality of your puzzles by the theme name you've chosen (particularly as there is obviously nothing in the puzzles evaluating how males and/or females perform on them).

Clever little chamber i love it.

Thanks for all your feedback. :D
These maps are called Test Chambers for Girls because Aperture Laboratories has different tests for different people. :) There are also test chambers for boys, men, women, old people and birds. They help answer different questions that are posed to science.

That's a well designed puzzle... it has many good design positives about it... pity about the name choice.
Timkin 18 May, 2012 @ 8:53pm
Are these called "Test Chamber for Girls" because you believe girls are smarter than boys, or not as smart? Or is there some other reason for your provocative titles?

Very nice, it took a little bit of thought to figure it out on my end. :)

Kudos! Excellent, very well done! This felt exactly like something done by Valve. It made me thing, it was chalange to get through that door at the end, but when I did it I felt great!

Yes, it is super good.
Silly  [author] 16 May, 2012 @ 7:08am
