FYI -- this mod is fantastic but the recipe is broken and wont stack with the standard ingame jerky recipes
Phoenix_Rising 4 May, 2024 @ 11:41pm
Love this mod. Spoil times are increased by hours for vegetables. It makes jerky so much faster as it works in BULK (as author stated in his description. Eggs take a month or longer to expire. Corn takes hours, so a good stack can last days. (Same with most other vegetables.)

DuhItzBen 15 Jul, 2019 @ 11:55pm
Is there a way you can edit the config to give it more slots
AlphaGodith 27 May, 2019 @ 1:09pm
does this make jerky faster than the regular one?
Krafty83 19 Oct, 2018 @ 10:47pm
I just noticed while i was using the mod for the first time that when it makes jerky it only stacks to 30. curious if it would be the stacking mod i have running or yours.
MadGamer 2 Aug, 2018 @ 6:41pm
can it preserve fish?
Torkkar 29 Mar, 2018 @ 10:24pm
so first Love the idea BUT the execution ark adds is wrong, I'd like this to have a more moddern feel use the refrigerator skin add some vents & smoke effect & make it need power instead of Spark powder but it still needs oil. Also as a backyard BBQ master I can tell you my Charcoal & electric element Smoker can make 150lbs of Jerky in just 26 hours 48 if you want to turn the heat low & slow smoke the flavor.

Just some number & a better look IMO to go for than a blue box.

You play without electricity for the realism, but you want ice. Because a preserving bin makes ice how?
BrumeRose 31 Aug, 2017 @ 4:02pm
Turn it to make Iced water jar please, i play without electricity that's why i use your better preserving bin. I don't want to hide a generator and a refrigerator. Thanks
Baldman 8 Aug, 2017 @ 12:40pm
Also known as a fridge.
NU_Alchemist 16 Mar, 2017 @ 7:22pm
Hi pls. update.

Seems like an amazing idea but it appears, at least in the comments, that this mod is broken.
C R Y T I S 16 Jan, 2017 @ 5:21pm
the normal perserving bin keeps vegitables longer than this one. and the "longer spoil times" are only 15 minuts...
vyvin 17 Oct, 2016 @ 9:59pm
How long does it take to make the jerky? I've had cooked meat, oil and spark powder in it for a few hours now and nothing.

@Furiousthemonkey - InterMod activity such as you are requesting requires collaboration between modders which is not common. Just an FYI.
Thorgrim 29 Sep, 2016 @ 1:19pm
hello guy, can you have a blueprint ? thank :steamhappy:
FuriousTheMonkey 16 Sep, 2016 @ 9:55am
@CaptiveNut The bin does not appear to turn prime or regular meat into jerky if it was cooked in the Ark Advance 10 Stove. Any possibility of looking into this?
SyndroM 10 Sep, 2016 @ 1:29am
Dose it work on Wyvern Milk in the new Scorched Earth update? Love the Mod <3
xxbeatxx6 9 Sep, 2016 @ 2:44pm
item id?
TheRevie 11 Aug, 2016 @ 1:49pm
It's really cool, thanks for this!
I just have a few little questions. First, is there maybe any way to change the color of the preserving bin? And can you maybe post the code to spawn it?
Scryptar 9 Aug, 2016 @ 3:41pm
exactly what i've been looking for for my current primitive-style season. all i need now is a primitive AC unit for breeding ^^
LeBwah 25 Jul, 2016 @ 6:14pm
Thanks a lot! =)
CaptiveNut  [author] 25 Jul, 2016 @ 3:26pm
@LeBwah

That's a fair adjustment to recommend. I've changed it to x12 now.
LeBwah 22 Jul, 2016 @ 7:20pm
This mod is very nice, i d'like to have this mod on a primitive server. Nice to make jerkies fast but i think that the spoiling time is too short, X2 for the upgraded preserving bin versus X10 for the normal. Could you make something for the spoiling time (X15 or 20)?
CaptiveNut  [author] 22 Jul, 2016 @ 1:24am
That's a nice idea, and would make this a little different to the regular bin too. I'll have a look at doing this. Thanks for the comment Chanster111!
Void Deth 21 Jul, 2016 @ 5:14pm
Can you make it so it can burn thatch, at a gratter speed than sparkpowder. Allways thought the the PreservingBin's should have had that option. From a relistic standpount, thatch would be used sense sparkpowder is not real. I think wood would be to big thou
CaptiveNut  [author] 19 Jul, 2016 @ 6:47am
Glad you like it FedTonyHD! Check out my Smoker too if you want a pure Jerky machine.
FedTonyHD 19 Jul, 2016 @ 4:19am
YAY thank you Mike, you are awesome! <3
CaptiveNut  [author] 19 Jul, 2016 @ 1:51am
This mod is now complete and working! Any feedback and comments welcome. Thanks for your patience!

Mike

That sounds good to me, this will be redone and tweaked today along with my grill.
Manalo 18 Jul, 2016 @ 8:19pm
yeah that would be ok as well. 5-10 maybe? by the time your needing faster/better ;your dealing with a crunch on engrams if the private server hasn't added extra.
CaptiveNut  [author] 18 Jul, 2016 @ 12:10pm
That's a novel idea, but I feel it should atleast cost something to learn as it does add some advantages over the original. Maybe a reduction in EP costs to something much smaller?
Manalo 18 Jul, 2016 @ 7:56am
I'd like to recommend you remove the EP cost but in exchange make it require knowing the base Preserver bin. This way it's not free but it is a free upgrade.
CaptiveNut  [author] 18 Jul, 2016 @ 6:09am
Ah thanks for reminding me about the Mod Id. Everytime I update it I forget to add the detailed text. Thanks again!

Keep up the good Work <3
CaptiveNut  [author] 18 Jul, 2016 @ 6:06am
The mod is available right now, but im still testing some things. As of now it does everything except cook jerky, which is an issue im looking into at this very moment. :)
FedTonyHD 18 Jul, 2016 @ 4:49am
Hey mate, can you please add the Mod ID ? :D <3 you
