I am still on my way to download that mighty ARK Dev Kit, got only 6 GB during the last two weeks (in countryside Jamaica there is no fast and reliable Internet). If I had that ADK already, I could do this, but for now I wonder, if you could create these light stripes. Also, at least for these light stripes inside the homes, and IF you develop them, please make RGB adjusters available, and an adjuster for the brightness, too - this way, the light stripes could even be used in the compettition stadiums for the tribes on our servers as ground markings, and so on.
Please consider to do this. :-)
Hi, thanks. I use it already and see it. But for many who have not yet this mod, it would be useful to see and compare with normal lamps.
Also, I was thinking about what you try to achieve with this mod - to provide more lightness. For lighthouses it is good as it is now. For inside rooms, not more brightness is the trick, but to distribute illumination over a larger area. Look at my previous suggestion: those "light stripes" that can be fixed on walls, on the ground and on the ceilings. I would not add a very bright light source in their center, but add many not bright light sources to them and distribute them all over these "light stripes". This way, the entire stripe are would appear to illuminate. And instead of one super bright "sun", the entire stripe glows. In case of a square light stripe, maybe 5 non-bright light sources could do the trick, and in case of the wide rectangular stripe, eleven to fifteen can do it. Or even many more.
I was on the search for a light type that might not be too bright but has a wide range of illumination.
Can you create lights that look like color- and brightness-adjustable rectangles or squares on the walls? Like an illumination stripe from left to right, attachable to walls, floors, and ceilings: 1 wall wide, less than 1/3 wall tall (therefore fitting above or below windows). And another, same height but just 1/3 wall wide (fitting beside windows and doors). And as I said already, they can fit at the top, at the bottom, or along the middle of a wall, floor/ceiling, or foundation.Requiring energy or no energy (then using the boo-luminescence of bacteria). The player can adjust RGB and brightness. Possible for you to do this? Trust me, many will use such an illumination.
