Oh, I figured you proved your point. The ball game was designed to need only one of the balls to complete. You found a way to get the other one, which while not intended, doesn't break the map. I figured nothing more needed to be said, since you proved your point.

@DBladedPantz, Why do you still have not commented the fact that I was able to get both sphere from the "funnel game" ? =)

I take your point but I'mjust saying thats why for example mevious's map gate requires you only to realise a few small things. I wasn't tryingto insult you, don't get me wrong I definitely am not insulting you

Hard but simple = lazy in my book. If it was so hard and challenging, why not continue the challenge? Why be content with a single difficult puzzle? You have a brain and I want to give it a challenge. One room with a puzzle that has one "trick" to it usually irritates me that the designer didn't think I was smart enough to keep track of multiple elements to keep the puzzles going. So you say simple but hard is good, but I see it as a limiting experience.

Often the best portal maps are hard but simple, having about 20 different things to solve is fun but try harder next time tbh

lol! U should test your map better before making such statements https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/profiles/76561198041374963/screenshot/596971085969523709

Challenge accepted!

Nope. In fact, its impossible to get the second ball out of the funnel game, as it would drop into the recepticle that spawns it everytime and make you start again. You can choose to use the first ball to open the door first and then respawn it, or get the ball to the exit and use the second ball to retreive the first one; I leave it open-ended for people to be able to do either method as they choose. All part of the grand design!
Timoteeei 21 May, 2012 @ 5:49am
I beat it again and make a conclude that you don't necessarily need the second ball here :D
Tom 20 May, 2012 @ 3:27pm
OK; just tried it again and got it. The Faith Plate part is a bit to tricky though. Figuring out what to do is easy, but the execution is a bit annoying. The switches should be easier to reach once you know what to do. Anyawy, good map. Definitely one of the more challenging. Everything after figuring out the ball part was pretty easy though.
DBladedPantz  [author] 20 May, 2012 @ 12:54pm
First ball drops in the slot so that the second ball will drop and can be used in the other recepticle. Try it again Tom!

Every time when it hits this button, a new ball is appear in the beginning of that maze ;)

Gave up after I couldn't get the first ball to stay in its slot. It falls down, hits it and then bounces out again. Every time.

“When you know how to do,and you cannot do”——This is very painful! (c) @火车上的旅程

The second pillar is the most inconvenient button, even after u know what u must to do. Solution is great but when u trying to gen into portal on the floor over and over again it becomes the torture. I think due to the unfortunate located plate of faith, character twists in the air and portal does not always open on the floor.

After about a hundred attempts i press all this button but cube just was pushed aside by the flow of blue gel =___=
Assume that I have passed this level :D

All tasks do not even complicated (except of the 2nd pillar button) and "getting the ball puzzle" is greatest!

===============================
After all of this i expect that u will try to solve my map again because i did some great changes
DBladedPantz  [author] 18 May, 2012 @ 9:08pm
Hah. Tweaked the room to catch you now instead of letting you work to the top of that pillar. The buttons are on their own corresponging levels to indicate the logical progression of where the next button you need to press is. So the further up you go, the next button flips open the surface you need to make the jump to the next button you need until you reach the top.

Good work. Tricky as hell. Took me a while to figure out where to go to get to the cube. Heh, i got through the faith plate room without the good. What is the signifigance of those buttons, anyway?
DBladedPantz  [author] 17 May, 2012 @ 7:51pm
Don't let the screen shots fool you. the map is actually really condensed and logical when you see how I centered many of the elements around the starting room. The arial faith plate room is designed to work without the blue goo. Just in case you were trying it and your jumps keep coming up short.

I will definitely check your maps out. It only seems fair to return the favor for you taking the time to see what I've done.
granderojo 17 May, 2012 @ 5:59pm
Best puzzle I've played so far. Found it very challenging but rewarding.
MadBeatsMike 17 May, 2012 @ 5:53pm
That is a fantastic map design, tried it for about 10 minutes and couldn't quite find an answer but I will try again soon, the layout is beautiful. Check out my workshop please!

Took awhile to get this one complete, but editing always leads to more revisions and that in turn breaks things and asks you to do it all over again. Hope everyone likes this one, as the binary on the funnel buttons was not fun planning out and took many hours of testing to get right.
