Ha! Nice map! And I loved the suprise ending! I must have been standing in just the right place because all the turrets died before my eyes and I just walked to the exit!

The best maps are the ones that frustrate the most people , I died 3 times at the end because of the surprise turrets , but I didn't quit . Excellent map !

This was solely build in PTI so checkpoints are not available there. The only 2 maps that were made in Hammer so far are the 1st 2, Entrance and Basement. (Not the old pti ones)

The suprise turrets at the end are a needless addition that got me killed the first time and forced me to restart. In future it may be good to put a checkpoint before surprises like that, particularly after such a frustrating area.

I got stucked in the first room, where you have to portal along a glass "tube"

God, does ANYBODY know that if you press f6 you can save,even in PeTI? And here you are, moaning how bad this map is because everytime you die you have to restart!

@Stagger Lee: This map was solely designed with PTI. There isn't much you can do to make something like this and be sure it doesn't kill you. The Hammer remake will resolve this, don't worry :)

Sorry, bad design all around. What is it with people who keep making surprise deaths toward the end of their chambers? Too much Call of Duty in your gaming diets?

I have to agree with what others have said in that a simple mistake results in having to start over from the beginning of the map, which is tiresome and really removes any incentive to try again. Oh, it isn't really hard and seems to be a good puzzle, but I just can't bring myself to carry the robot turret into the laser beam at the front door ONE MORE TIME. It just isn't worth it, unfortunately.

Sorry thumbs down on this one.

Really frustrating.

Couldn't make any progress. Can't throw the cube high enough to get it into the beam.

Stood on the cube and could jump to fire portal at surface next to beam origin but even though I know I hit the surface repeatedly it would not allow a portal to be placed. Not that it would have helped much as there are no other accessible portal surfaces to step through.

Can't see anything else to do!

If I missed the point can you please provide a walkthrough in the description.

I give up
first room
only found one surface to place portal
stood on button that activaites cube dispenser
then jumped & through cube into tractor beam
tractor beam pushed it to button
panel on wall opened
could not put portal their
or where tractor beam comes from
even though white wall by it's side
the coments indicate others completed this

having to redo the funnels a lot due to mixing up which portal I needed to use was a little annoying, but that was more my fault than the map's.
I could have avoided the button at the end, but I stepped on it anyway. Glad I did, that was awesome.

it is a good map but I downvoted because every time I solved one part of the puzzle and got tripped up at the next, I had to do it all again

I kept dieing at the funnel that carries the cube to the second button. I would get to the end of the hallway, and the funnel apparently just shut off and dropped me into the funnel below. This map is more like a house or horrors than a game.

Map's actually pretty straightforward, but is pretty abusive to the player in a few respects:
• Cube-spawner is unnecessarily tedious;
• Downtime waiting for cube, especially on repeated attempts;
• End surprise can kill, and almost certainly will kill the first time through, forcing the player to do the entire level over again, which now is both downtime and tedious;

I had a question: The cube dropper in the beginning starts spawning cubes automatically, yet there is a button to activate it, is the dropper supposed to auto-drop the first cube?
